in that post I didn't mean trade Nabokov to us I meant maybe a deal with another team for them to trade their own goalie to us cheap in exchange for getting Nabokov signed to a cheap deal on waivers

maybe Holland just feels bad about the Devils train wreck of a season and wants to get them a goalie

maybe it isn't about Nabokov at all? something along the lines of an agreement with a team low in the standings to get Nabokov signed at a low cap hit so they can take him off of waivers and trade us their goalie for a 7th round pick or something?

I think Lidstrom's +/- this year shows that it isn't always even useful for that unless anyone seriously thinks Lidstrom is the worst even strength defenseman on the team(excluding Kindl since he wasn't a regular when Stuart was healthy)?

not likely I predict a cheap shot by Orpik or Cooke on Franzen or Kronwall part of it is that +/- is a pretty terrible stat he is also a very good puck moving defenseman that takes way more heat than he deserves for his salary and occasional defensive mistakes though

technically Zetterberg wasn't selected for the all star game which means him not going violates no rule at all
