Sure the fun factor is there for entertainment for viewing, but watching them lose isn't fun. If the Wings collapsed because of the injuries and finished 9th place i'm sure people that said that it's in good 'fun' wouldn't be in 'fun' mode, especially if you show passion for your team. Im not out of control like some people on this site when it comes to losing, but I don't exactly find it entertaining when they lose or play poorly because of the injuries.

I wish i was as optimistic as you are.

big loss for them, I personally think hes the best player on the team aside from Miller.

The thing I have a problem with Z this year is the turnovers. He gains the zone and tries to make a stupid pass and it ends up on the opposing teams stick. Other than that I think he has been offensively as hes averaging over a PPG right now, just wish he would gain a point every game instead of in bunches.

I don't understand why he doesn't, its really starting to piss me off. Raffi is making a ton of mistakes, I would rather Lidstrom be the one to cover them than any other D on the team. Stuart is more of a defensive defensemen and Kronner is more offensive, it only makes sense they player together not to mention the chemistry they used to have was good. It really suprises me a coach like him hasn't already tried to fix the big problem with the team so far and thats the defense, there getting caught 2 on1 all the time, turning the puck over in there own zone WAY too much, not getting the puck up ice like we've seen the last few years. He keeps messing around with the forward lines, it just makes sense if thats not working to try the defensive pairings as thats where alot of the mistakes have been made in the last 5 or so games. One of the biggest things this year that has pissed me off the most though is the D not clearing the front of the net. The last 2 games 4 goals have been resulted in people standing in front of the net left wide open (Kesler to Sedin twice, and 2 deflections from 2 different St Louis players). You can blame the goaltenders only so long, but if the turnovers in there own zone don't exist and the players screening/deflecting shots in front of the net are eliminated the team would have won majority of the games this month imo.

It seems in this league that two way players seem to get unnoticed quite abit for some reason, I guess because they don't score 50 goals a season or something. However I was browsing NHL.com the other day and seen he was ranked 3rd in points and 2nd in assists in the league yet you barely ever hear his name, in fact you hear Stamkos name more than his yet hes the one mostly responsible for Stamkos's goals. Every year he seems to notch over 85+ points and plays a pretty good two way game, but you never hear his name in the top players in the league. The same could be said about Datsyuk, if he wasn't so flashy do you think people would take as much notice as they do ? just curious to see what you guys think.
