We are on LGW after all. It's going to happen regardless. -

He is not an insider. Whatever he says is moot. -
signed Red Wings sign D Mike Green (3-years, $18-million)

Green vs Zidlicky. Yea I would take Green 100 times over. Zidlicky was invisible for the Wings in the playoffs, and we needed him the most to step up. Nothing wrong at all with this signing, unless of course you are a Holland hater. -

It probably would. Your trade proposal is not realistic for the Blues. They get nothing really for a #1 dman Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
Cleary or Richards.I know who I want Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

The guy scored 45 points last year. kronwall was the only one even close to that. To have a dman that could actually put up points for once is huge for us. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Maybe we don't get him if Babs is still here. Who knows what kind of influence he would have. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
He already went to Pittsburgh Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

We didn't take him the first time on a 1 year deal, why would we take him now. We need defensemen before forwards, unless you are trading Nyquist / Tatar for a dman.
-
Then choose Ryan Ellis, then choose Vatenen etc. the point doesn't change. Height =/ everything. I am not even including forwards either. Your wording from the beginning would have not even started the "ridiculous" debate. You should have just said "not who I would have picked" instead of going on about his size. Which is where myself and another poster started saying it has nothing to do with it.
-
I am saying don't write off someone because of their height. I am not comparing him to Karlson in anyway other then Karlson is not big at all and he doesn't get manhandled. One inch taller doesn't mean a damn thing, you should be more concerned about his weight if anything. Datsyuk wasn't expected to go in his draft and look at what happened there. Tyler Johnson same thing. Just because the hockey "expert" analysts don't predict them in some lame mock draft doesn't mean the player is horrible. Sleepers do exist in all sports. We are talking about Karlsson for the simple fact that an elite player that isn't big can still play Hockey. Then there is a bunch of others that are really great players that are even smaller then him. 5'11 6'0 - tomatoe, tomato, like I said, Big E 6'4 doesn't play like it.
-
The kid is 18 years old, he might grow a little. Karlsson is listed as 5'11 180 pounds, and they are being generous. I am pretty sure he does ok playing top minutes against guys way bigger then him, but I guess if this kid reaches 5'10 he's a write off because of that 1 extra inch.
-
Red Wings 19th overall pick. I think it's a good one and the fact they say he is pro ready is realgud. Can't wait for training camp this year to see how these kids perform.
-
They are instantly better then some of our dmen right off the hop but you won't take them because of there height, pretty ridiculous. It's like Leaf media, Kessel comes to camp "over weight" yet scores PPG but they don't want him on the team. We have 3 defensemen that are bigger then them yet play smaller then them just to put things into perspective.
-
I think Kessels was worse.
-
He looks scared as hell to me being interviewed.
-
We absolutely have the assets. However, it would destroy our team. We need defensemen right now.
-
I guess it's the same as Tyler Johnson being passed up by every team.
-
I agree I wanted Connor but he was taken just before we could get him. I wonder what this means for Helm, we don't need him at center anymore and his contract is coming up and probably will be looking for a pay day. I am not sure the WIngs are going that route anymore. They realize they need to get these kids in the NHL before long, and we have noticed quite the change the last couple of years. His game is "Pro ready" as most scouts are saying so I don't think its out of the question that he plays one year in the AHL and then is given a serious look.
-
Holland was the head pro scout of most of these guys and worked under Holland. What Holland wants these guys scout because they know. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

But wait. I just checked NHL15 and I don't see him in the game? How can I get my scouting report on if this is true or not, Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I know your not a Holland hater as I read your posts all the time as your carry a lot of insight. That's why I said I'm surprised this post came from you. I never said I agree with his picks this year either but I will give him the benefit of the doubt that he knows something about those players we don't just like every other year he makes a pick and this place goes bananas.
