Weiss was 30 when he was signed and no one knew it was going to turn out the way it did. Cole was not a bad signing, in fact if we had him in our lineup he would add physicality and goal scoring. He's 37 and scored over 20 goals again this year, and is probably top 3 in terms of speed on our team. Bertuzzi, meh. Also if you want star players in there primes, you pay a lot to get them. -
What wings player in the last 5 years has? The answer is none. Wings aren't built around players scoring a ton of goals anymore. Also none of those players have scored by your standards under mike Babcock, you shouldn't group blashill into the same scenario because you don't know what his philosophy would be with better players. I don't think we are far off. If we could add Green and another Dman in the off season we are right back on track. Missing Franzen and Cole right now is really hurting this team as well. Those guys score 20+ a year and bring a somewhat physical game, which our current 2nd line could use. -
Why would Arizona do this? They have OEL to build around, along with Domi, Duclair and the 3rd overall pick this year who also will be very good. Trading OEL leaves a big hole they can't fill, not to mention you would have to add Domi, or the 3rd overall pick as well to get McDavid.

Ok so why bring up the fact Holland isn't doing a good enough job? He's done a fantastic job considering what he's had to work with in regards to drafting. He could have been a little better with trades and FA signings but I would like to see any other GM make the playoffs for 20 years. Detroit 24 Straight Playoffs Pittsburgh 7 Straight Playoffs Crosby and Malkin won't even be around if the Pittsburgh made the playoffs for 24 years straight, and there farm already sucks right now. -

Not to mention when DK makes a mistake, he makes a bunch of good plays after that. DK has been huge for us in the playoffs this far, E still sucks as per usual.

I will believe it when I see it. 2 of our lines are pretty much nullified and are one and done rushes. Very similar to Boston last year. -

Remember all those times in 2003 and 2006 playoffs when we badly out-shot the opposition and lost games? We are on the opposite side this time. I remember when the caps and pens also out-shot Montreal by double every game in 2010 and Halak stole two series in a row. To say we don't have a chance because of the way we played is outright false. Not to mention Tampa the entire 3rd period was on PP's. -

There is a trend with my argument, go do your research. Hell, even go to hfb they even had a topic with "Whats wrong with Fowler" and the Anaheim fans explained the exact thing i'm saying. With your argument, it's just "he sucks and doesn't play because I think so". Big difference. -

Yea because you say it must make it a fact. Anaheim has a deep defense and he is sitting because of that. If you watched Anaheim managing there D at all this season you would see this is what they have been doing, exactly why Fowler has been sat for other Dmen to play. Wiz will play in the series.
