Not hard to score in that era when you had open nets to shoot at. Goalies were never in the crease, all you had to do was leg kick and the goalie would be screwed. My dad used to show me video of Hockey around that time, and I thought "Was everyone really that stupid and no team said to the goalie, stay in the net".

Ok, what about against Tampa and Florida? How about we compete for the tough areas instead of giving up and saying we are too small. Montreal put that notion to bed last year in regards to "We are too small to win".

You can't score when you don't put in the effort. This is the NHL, Wings need to realize no one is going to lay down for them. Other teams are getting into playoff mode, the Wings are just lollygagging thinking they earned it after 65 games.

I agree. Yesterday they were saying Flip plays the 2nd most minutes of any forward on the team. I was also reading a thread on there forums calling out Flip and wanting him gone because of his stupid passes and never enough shooting (sounds familiar).

You guys really think Weiss will be 3rd line center? Just the other day Anderson was centering the 3rd line. I see the same thing for these two games Pasha is out unfortunately.

Their is a reason he said 'nearly the same'. I don't think it would be as drastic as you say considering how bad the defense played against Philly. I mean how many goals were 2 on 1 or 3 on 2 goals.
