Ovi played with some bad teams with no structure the last 3 years yet is still one of the top offensive players. Also, you do realize Beagle was centering him for half the year last right and not Backstrom and the year before he had Chimera centering him for a while as well. Stamkos always had St Louis. My argument wasn't who had more points, my argument was Ovi is the better goal scorer which he is.How about not cherry picking stats, I can do the same, let's compare Ovi stats his first 5 years and then compare them to Stamkos, Ovi s***s all over him. Please don't compare Franzen to Ovi either...

Difference is Ovi did 35 in 35, Stamkos didn't. On pace is exactly that, on pace. Ovi is on pace for 700 goals in his career but that doesn't mean anything.

In your opinion of course, however. Ovi has a higher GPG in his career than Stammer, which is harder to sustain as more games you play, he also is the better goal scorer over Stamkos in general. No definitive way anyone can say Stamkos would not have beaten Ovi last year either, Ovi was at a GPG at the 35 game mark last year, that hasn't been done in a long long time.

Ovi is the #1 goal scorer in the league, if he can even take some more time to play defense he can easily pot 40+ every year with his shot. He's already on pace for over 700+ goals in his career, if anyone is going to make him change it will be Trotz, if he can't then I doubt Ovi will ever change.

Jagr is still an incredible player. Wish the Wings signed him. Datsyuk and him would be magic, good luck getting the puck off those two.

Abby doesn't have half the skill Jurco does, he gets goals by having pucks bounce off him. Jurco would be fine on the top line. You think Nyquist on the top line is a good idea, I think it's as dumb as you thinking Jurco shouldn't be there.

So to understand better posters on here don't mind if Abby plays with D and Z, yet Jurco isn't ready somehow. Jurco plays bigger then Abby and has way more skill..... Abby put up 30 points last year in 70+ games while playing with two of the best players. Jurco put up 15 points in 36 games while playing 3rd line minutes. Yea something doesn't make sense.

Love that lineup, would rather have Jurco up here though but it probably won't happen. If he was this is what I would want to see. Zetterberg - Datsyuk - Jurco Nyquist - Franzen - Alfie Tatar - Weiss - Sheahan Miller - Helm - Abby

No one can run MLSE, it's an entirely different beast. He has done a lot of good things for the teams in Toronto including bringing in Shanahan to run the Leafs - Nonis will probably be fired this year, fired Brian Collangelo and brought in Masai Ujiri (who got the Raptors to their first playoffs since 2008 in his first year) and brought in some euro soccer stars who helped TFC make the playoffs. Working with Bell and Rogers is almost next to impossible. Bell and Rogers both share 50/50 of the MLSE, when Rogers bought that 5 billion dollar NHL broadcasting deal, well Bell got screwed since TSN will not be showing games anymore and I think that's where Bell got turned off by everything. They only had TSN to compete anything to do with the NHL and now that's gone. I think the only way MLSE will exist and be run properly will be if Bell was to sell their portion to Rogers, however MLSE is such a huge cash draw that they probably won't.

Under no circumstances should Abby be in the top 6. He has proven he isn't capable of playing that role and has what, 40 points in the last 120 games while playing with two of the best players in the league. I can't even count how many breakaways or open nets he misses, and gets goals because the puck bounces off him. Jurco should be in that role over Abby, has way more skill and plays bigger then Abby most of the time.

Their is 34 active Russian players in the NHL. Maybe they don't want to play in the NHL because they get paid a lot more in the KHL...
