Wish it was more competitive other then Canada vs USA everytime.

He's not implying that, but there really is no competition in Women's Hockey, it comes down to USA and Canada every time. Women's Hockey just doesn't matter as much as the Men's for most Canadians, that's the reality. We will cheer them on, but people don't drop everything like they do for the Men. Not sure if USA feels the same however.

Yet still 4-0 this tournament. I mean if we really want to get technical, we can talk about how 3 or 4 of the goals yesterday were nothing but luck shot from impossible angles that just happened to go in and terrible goaltending (goalie not even in the crease), which they are not going in for Canada.

We were watching it at work. I dropped down our web filter and we were streaming it onto the projector in our training room, and the boss ordered in some pizza, it wasf****** awesome. All the salary people didn't do s*** today but watch the game lol. Canada absolutely dominated the game. Should of ended up 3-1 but the goal got called back even though the Lativan player pulled the puck outta the net with his hands. So pumped for another chance at the Gold.

I agree. I don't even know why they have him on the 4th line. He is better then Kulemin, he should be at least playing on the 3rd line.

Malkin has been great for Russia. Whenever he has the puck he is making things happen. Ovechkin and Semin have destroyed that line, Ovi is ******* a terrible player other then scoring goals. I think Datsyuk line should be the 1st line and getting more minutes at this point.

I disagree with this in recent years, I never said Russia vs Canada isn't the international rivalry. Canada vs Russia in Vancouver wasn't as intense as Canada vs USA. Canada beat Russia 7-3 and the game wasn't that intense besides the first 10 minutes. I have watched that game 100 times, it wasn't close to the games against USA.

Which is awesome because Mantha stats are: 49 goals & 100 pts in 46 games. Hopefully they both turn into great players for us, but even if one was to turn out great or even elite for us that would be huge.

100% this. USA is better then Russia and have been for awhile. Russia and Canada had some of the best matches on international ice in the past, but recently Canada vs USA is the rivalry.

Of course HF boards is for idiocy as per your opinion, unfortunately it doesn't change a thing I have read coming from American's. As for an American stating Canada should be playing better, it really has no merit on how we feel. We haven't lost a game, we have let in the least amount of goals in the tournament (oh but of course the conspiracies of who we played and how the teams were picked) and we are still undefeated, we are happy where we are. If USA beats us or Swiss then yes, we are not happy. Until then just worry about how American's performance should feel, not Canadians performance. It also doesn't matter to us Canadians what kind of hype the American sports media paints on us in terms of hype, every country has one goal in these games and that is to win Gold. We ice the top players in the world, which Canada is known for producing, this is not a knock on USA because they develop and ice great players as well. At the end of the day, it's a win win situation for us because we get to watch the most talented players play against each other. I just hate coming into this thread and seeing an American talk about how bad Canada is doing, and reminding us we had 'easier' competition.

I take a majority over a couple, sorry but more stats is better then some. Also, I am not discrediting USA, in fact go read some of my previous posts you get a better idea. These kinds of posts are funny because what it tells me is that you didn't watch the game, and only looked at the box score. Bingo.

It's not crap. He is saying the exact same thing I said. He is also a member at HF like myself, he probably read the exact same posts I was reading from a lot of American's. Whether you like it or not, your country doesn't want to play Canada because it is the toughest competition for you guys before the gold medal game, and the chances of you being eliminated are a lot higher / vice versa. As for goaltending, we aren't really concerned, we have only given up 2 goals the entire tournament so far. If the forwards getting clicking it will be a harder tournament than what you think. Please focus on USA, because you clearly have no idea what kind of team Canada is.

How can you say that ? Canada's defense has shut everything down except for two deflections. They haven't played USA so there is no telling that adding Kessel and Kane to Finland would have made any difference, those two can be shut down by an elite defense.

lol not worth it. Would cost a ton, and his cap hit is not good. He is a great goal scorer, but that's about it for him, hes way too 1 dimensional and I would rather not pursue him.
