Anthony is serviceable on defense, he is really not that bad from the games i've watched, and is great on the boards because he uses his size. The only knock on him is compete a full 60 minutes, which he has already improved on this year a lot which was probably the Wings organization that told him to work on that part of his game. They said he could have really went in the top 10, but his compete level wasn't where it should have been so most skipped on him. He will have more points then Drouin did last year in the same amount of games if he keeps his current pace. We are lucky to have this kid.

I just hope he continues to play the way he was before that. I'm just worried he will be less hesitant to drive the net and go with speed because he's worried about getting hit in the head again.

Doesn't he have issues with concussions ? I wouldn't jump on him considering we don't even know the story.

Why do we collapse every 3rd period in every game. We have scored 29 goals in the third period up till this point. We have allowed 43 goals in the third period up till this point. Unacceptable, we have allowed more 3rd period goals than any other team in the NHL. Need full 60 minutes.

Jurco is playing so conservative, you can tell he doesn't want to make a mistake but we need him in on the forecheck. Seriously, does it ever stop. The Wings should just start skipping games until the others come back healthy.

Why is Abby playing on the 2nd line ? Should be Nyquist - Mule - Tatar since they play great together. Tatar has also been better around the net then Abby this year. Tatar might not be big, but he plays big.

He's getting a lot of money to be a third pair defensemen, after last year I think everyone thought he made that jump but now is he trending backwards. Third pairing D-men also get to play against easier opponents, if he was playing against 1st line players I would hate to see his stats.

Gus always had it in him to be a great goalie, even fans in Toronto knew it. Francois Allaire ruined him, like he has many goalies before. Most Leaf fans will tell you exactly that.

For your first example, it's also hard to criticize a player that has more takeaways then giveaways and has to help the D out enough as it is then to blame someone who once a game (see yesterday) for fully putting the puck on someone else's stick. Your second example, it's hard to criticize D and Z when they play great two way games, along with producing at a PPG where Franzen does not. All fairness you cannot compare blaming Datsyuk or Z on 90% of any goals scored because they are both + players and actually contribute to the team every night. I look at the body of work not a couple of mistakes, and Kindl and Quincey make a lot of mistakes per game.
