I like Conner's play, the first time we see Helm breakaway and actually have a linemate that can match speed you all will be wondering how we will keep him on the team. I have liked this idea since preseason and it will be awesome if he does stick, when Mursak comes back that line will be fast.

They want Smitty to play more mins and every game. To do that here, Kindl has to sit, like most of last year. In GR, he'll get 20+ mins a night. Next season he will be a full timer.

You are wrong. If he was healthy, he would be playing more often. This is not a surprise that he doesn't play every game, since he has never played a full season in the NHL. He's a little guy, in a tough sport, he plays awesome for his size but that also must wear on him. The bottom line is, you don't sign someone for 3 years if that player is cancer. They still have to fly there and back once. 7352 combined miles. vs. 4210 combined miles. You are right the alignment is weird. It's just as weird with Winnipeg playing these teams. 1870m from WIN to FLA. Way harder on them then the switch would be to us. In summary: Less playoff travel time. Earlier game start times. Less jetlag. Virtually none in the playoffs. They don't have to keep it like this they can change it if they want, but do it for a few decades and see if it works out. I have to drive 3 hours to go to FLA or TB, and i get 2 "home games" about every other year, and it takes me 40 hours to drive to Detroit. I honestly believe someone will be hurt by then and Mursak will slide back in. I hope that Brunnstrom will stay also, but, as far as contract, he could sign again in the offseason if this is where he wants to be, it isn't like he didn't get a shot, in fact he made the roster through injury. If someone claims him he gets to play more mins, if not he is on call. It's the best senerio for retaining everyone for next year.

Mursak isn't back until after Christmas, more than a few weeks.... ...and let's not start this, this early, the man is on pace to have a 82 point season and your wondering how we will deal him? Who would we get? Why would we need them, we're undefeated, why screw with that? Remember that your reason for ditching Hudler is Mursak coming back, so unless it's draft picks for Hudler someone else has to go too. When Mursak comes back, as it stands now, Brunnstrom will be waived.
