the preseason is for filling those 6th/7th D spots and 4th line spots not much else. Any team that put an nhl lineup on a nightly basis in the preseason could go undefeated

Wings have proven they can win without a goon in their lineup time and time again. I'm sure if guys cheapshotting our stars becomes an issue we can get someone to deal with it.

Tampa is the only one with a real shot at the playoffs imo. Toronto maybe slowly crawling out of the NHL basement but they still need to come a looong way.
