The way he played last night looked to me like it had little to do with being paired with those guys. It looked to me like his back was still pretty badly f***ed up. He usually uses his strength to hold off opponents with his hips or elbow, but last night he did neither of those.

Maybe that's why Babcock decided to switch up the lineup, just to mess with them knowing this was their thinking. As bad as it was to have the amway pyramid scheme associated with the Wings, I always like to remind people that it could have been worse. Just look at who the Blues' sponsor is... Yikes!

I think the reason he turned down the Wings offer was more to do with the fact that they wouldn't guarantee him a top 6 spot and not so much the money they offered.

Looking at the story, it seems nobody named was actually found guilty of defamation. They just failed to respond in the specified amount of time, and thus a default judgement was awarded. Also, if the people named in the case were only notified by private message on some internet forum, as the article seems to imply, and not officially, as is required by every other case, I can't imagine that even the default judgement is enforceable.

Not sure if its been discussed before, but... Are those the jerseys the Wings are going to be wearing all season? I couldn't help but notice that they ditched the clean arched font that they have used for years, and replaced it with an ugly blocky straight font for the names on the jerseys. Weird how something so small can be so noticeable and actually bother me a bit, lol.

That's actually what I thought this thread was going to be about. I was just thinking about that a month or two ago. Just a couple/few years ago, the NHL was handing out violations for players who didn't tie down their fight strap, but now since a lot of the young star players started saying f*** it and not tying their straps down any more, it seems the NHL has just decided to stop enforcing it.
