Cool concept, though I personally preferred the other one. So whats on the other side, same thing?
-
Wow. The design, the logo, the cut... Every single thing about this jersey is ugly. Whoever the people were that approved this as the final design need to be fired immediately.
-
Its a ridiculous comparison, frankly. A bullet going faster than the speed of sound hitting a thin layer of Kevlar fabric is obviously not anywhere even remotely the same as a big thick layer of goalie protection and pads stopping a slow moving (in comparison) hockey puck.

If you look away from the screen when he is talking, you would swear that it actually was Babcock, lol. Their voice sounds almost identical.

I don't think anyone really beleives he is injured, at least not to the extent he is claiming. He was cleared by the doctors, and seemed to just want that extra million dollars...

Meh. Pretty petty, IMO. I'm sure Bissonnette has some s*** hidden in his past that he has paid a lot of money to keep hidden. (like all rich people do) I am also sure if you posted it publically, he would flip out and have a multimillion dollar team of lawyers descend upon you, and sic all of his followers on you as well... I view this as kinda like when you are arguing with someone and they start comparing you or the argument you are supporting to Hitler. They lost the argument at that point, and have no real comeback. Same thing here. Instead of just talking regular s*** and leaving it at that, Biz dug into the guys past (pretty weird in itself) and resorted to personal attacks about his criminal history. Not to mention, twitter comments are like youtube comments. Only morons or people desperate for attention actually respond to the negative/troll comments, since a good portion are just negative/troll comments anyways, as it is the nature of the beast. That said, I still like Biz...

Haha, yep that's who it was. If you google his name and "golf cart" the stories come up.

What is it with NHLers and dumb golf injuries? Didn't some player just a couple years ago blow out his knee somehow by getting his foot caught in the pedals of the golf cart?

First the pee ice, now this? Can I have some of whatever they are smoking down there?

Signed Joakim Andersson re-signs, 2yrs, $1.465m ($732,500k cap hit)

So now we just gotta sign Nyquist and figure out a way to dump Sammy, and we're good to go. -
LOL Pretty much, though.

Pierre McGuire's past that NBC doesn't want you to know about
sleepwalker replied to evilmrt's topic in General
Uh...OK. That statements not hypocritical at all, lol. Who here would even care if he had a drug problem in his past. I'd probably rather someone who used to have a drug problem than someone who used to be (and may still be) a complete nut and threw temper tantrums all the time. -
I'd ask the seller just to make sure it is autographed by Pav too. WHile the pic shows it, his description doesn't mention it, just that its signed by Perry. Oh, and I also must also say, this is probably one of the more annoying ebay listings I've seen, description-wise. I mean, did this guy seriously copy and paste the ENTIRE Wikipedia entries for both players and paste it into the listing? lol

Yep. I get the feeling his agent was like "Dames, baby, you are the KING of the Swiss league! I can get you anything you want! Lets ask for 5 years at $4mil per. You are the Swiss league golden boy, its a shoe in!" And then he hit the open market, and all the NHL teams just laughed at how ridiculous his asking price was...

Pierre McGuire's past that NBC doesn't want you to know about

Its unacceptable for anyone. Lets take to the every day level to put in in perspective. Someone says something that you don't like or looks at you the wrong way or whatever while you are walking down the street, and so you proceed to try to beat them mercilessly with your boot. There are likely two possible outcomes, assuming you don't actually kill the guy. You get arrested for assault with a deadly weapon and spend several years in prison, on top of the guy suing you and taking everything you have from you. Or the guy shoots/stabs/beats you and kills you in self defense. -

I thought this was going to be an article claiming that Pierre actually was, in his past, what he looks like and what many (most?) people think of when they see him...a creepy pedophile. -
FYI, if anyone, like me, is also getting the "flash upgrade required" message trying to view the video, this clip is up on youtube now too.

I was just going to post this. Its looking more and more like Brunner really let his agent screw him.

OK, so I have to say it... You don't need perfect 20/20 hindsight vision or ESP to predict that Colaiacovo is going to be injured a lot/most of the time. Kid is made of glass and is seemingly always injured. Right when we signed him, my first thought was that it was a waste of money and a roster spot as he was likely going to be good 'ol glass Carlo and sit out injured most of the time, which of course he did.

I see people wearing Wings gear down here in Toledo literally every day, and see stickers on cars constantly. (Tigers and Pistons too) I only occasionally see people repping the Lions.

signed Brendan Smith signs 2-year, $2.525m contract with Red Wings
sleepwalker replied to Matt's topic in General
I wouldn't say that. They have said a couple times now that the offer they made Cleary (that he turned down) is their offer. If he signs elsewhere, they will understand, but if he chooses to accept the Wings offer, and the Wings still have cap space left at that point, then they'll sign Cleary too. -
You'd think they could at least spring for business class plane tickets, lol.

signed Brendan Smith signs 2-year, $2.525m contract with Red Wings
sleepwalker replied to Matt's topic in General
So what was the deal with him filing arbitration? Did he think he should get drastically more than this or something? Did the Wings seriously lowball him? Because I think this is right about the price that most of us thought he would sign for. -
The kid on the second floor, who lives upstairs from Lou?
-
I don't think that is actually his nickname. I have never once heard or read anyone ever call him that. In fact, the only person I have ever even seen call him that is the poster "The Axe" right here at this little message board...
