Seriously. I was not thrilled at all about this signing originally, but now, as bad as it sounds, I kinda hope he gets his bell rung or something enough so we can just be done with this douch and put him on LTIR.

Glad to no longer have the team associated with the pyramid scheme. Though it could've been worse...St Louis is sponsored by Monsanto!

Do you have a friend or family with a US address? If so, just order it from Amazon. They have the standard red and black versions. If not, I think Zappos ships to Canada, and they carry the standard red version. (Assuming you are talking about the standard 5950 fitteds)

17yr old hockey player charged for on-ice assault.
sleepwalker replied to Son of a Wing's topic in General
I agree with pretty much everyone else. The kid that snowed the goalie started it. The other kid took it too far. Pressing charges over this is ridiculous. -
Maybe its a numbers thing. Target has a s***-ton of money, so maybe they just threw some of it the stations way to show their fireworks program instead. Or maybe they just chose not to show hockey. Lest we forget that just a couple games ago NBC chose to show reruns of law and order on their main channel instead of the Stanley Cup Finals?

Dreger: Filppula looking for $5.5m/season over at least 7 years
sleepwalker replied to a topic in General
Oh, please... Many if not most of us have endured a lot of the same types of injuries (or worse) that these guys have at some point in our lives and have dealt with the same pain. These guys are pampered athletes that make millions to play a game, and they get the very best medical attention that money can buy. -
Aww, c'mon... Everyone loves Jump Around. And its as much of a hockey anthem as any of the other songs listed, you hear it at pretty much any arena you go to.

That broken ankle pretty much ruined his chances in the NHL. Bummer, I was hoping he'd develop into another Helm type guy.

Signed Wings Sign Drew Miller to 3 year extension @ 1.35m/yr

I can dig it. -
That's how most bigger riots in North America are. In the LA riots here in the States, it seemed everyone and their brother hopped in their cars and trucks to go down and steal some TVs, electronics, furniture, etc. Race was the scapegoat, but 99.9% of people that participated just wanted to steal sh*t and tear things up.

2013 Stanley Cup Finals - Boston Bruins vs. Chicago Blackhawks
sleepwalker replied to Hockeytown0001's topic in General
Chicago media and the Chicago fans are morons. Chicago was the undisputed number one in the league this season by a country mile, killed everyone in the regular season, and was predicted to trounce everyone and take the cup easily with no questions asked.... And yet every round they try to claim they are the poor widdle underdogs. Its just getting ridiculous at this point. -
Lame, but expected.

Exactly. There are a lot of stupid new rules (like the "trapezoid") but I don't think the over the glass delay of game is one of them. I can see where Storm is coming from too though. There are times when a puck clearly just takes a funny bounce off a stick or something and goes out.

He said back strength is directly RELATED to speed. There is no arguing with that statement as it is 100% true.

Diving and embellishment has become a MAJOR problem league wide. Hell, in our series against Chicago, the Hawks were diving all over the place, and lets not be homers here, the Wings did it a lot too. All teams are doing it to a greater and greater extent these days, and it is completely out of control at this point. The league seriously needs to address the issue.
-
Then, I can't help you there... My point, to make it more clear, is if you dislike both teams, then why in the hell would you choose to root for one of them/give them your support?
-
That's the problem living in an ultra polarized black/white, left/right society... People feel like they HAVE to choose a side. I will root for neither if the final comes down to the Hawks and Pens.

gdt WCSF Game 7 GDT: Red Wings 1 at Blackhawks 2 OT (CHI wins series, 4-3)
sleepwalker replied to Hockeytown0001's topic in General
This series summed up how they played a lot this season. Take a good lead, and then sit back and piss it away... -
gdt WCSF Game 3 GDT - Blackhawks 1 @ Red Wings 3 - (DET leads series 2-1)
sleepwalker replied to FlashyG's topic in General
I hate how in the NHL in games like this, at points like this in said games, the refs just get crooked and go into "even up" mode. So, OK, they tried to even it up, they failed, and now they owe us at least two penalty calls... -

I've seen Kane a couple times now this game take his hand off his stick and kind of wince. I think his hand is f*cked up. I hope someone on the Wings side took note...start poking and chopping at his hands, boys. -
Fights in leagues that wear full facial masks are completely pointless and beyond retarded. As far as the NHL, I always thought that any player who wears a visor and tries to initiate a fight, should have to either remove his helmet or be ejected from the game. It seems like such a p*ssy/b*tch move for a player with a visor to start a fight (usually) with a player without a visor, since its like having a face shield with a knife blade edge. So not only does it protect your face, the edge can slash your opponents hand if they try to punch you.

gdt WCSF Game 1 GDT : Red Wings 1 at Blackhawks 4, (CHI leads series 1-0)
sleepwalker replied to Hockeytown0001's topic in General
Agreed 100%. And to the guy who said they would have scored that third one in the same fashion at the same time regardless of whether Howie got his stick caught up back there or not, come on, lets take off the homer glasses and get real.... The only reason they scored that one was because Howie had his stick caught up back there and thus couldn't get around in time to make the save. -
gdt WCSF Game 1 GDT : Red Wings 1 at Blackhawks 4, (CHI leads series 1-0)
sleepwalker replied to Hockeytown0001's topic in General
If we had to lose, I am glad we lost 4-1 instead of 3-2. As good as Howie has been, it would have really sucked to have lost the game soley because of that bone headed move with him futzing around with the puck behind his own net. -
WCSF - (6) San Jose Sharks vs. (5) Los Angeles Kings

Everyone here is picking the Kings because we hate the Sharks.
