The reffing has just gotten worse and worse over the last few years. It seems like its all coming to a peak this playoffs. Its a complete joke. It hurts me to even say this, but I almost hope there is a lockout next year. I need a break from the NHL. Watching games these days and being an NHL fan is more frustrating than fun due to the refs, Bettman, Campbell, now Shanny... *sigh*

Agree and disagree. It definitely sent a good message and set the tone and hyped up the team. That said, it was far from a "decent scrap". It was a pretty lame scrap, if you could even call something like that a scrap.

Reffing is getting questionable again. And how the f*** is the Radulov ***** fest not an unsportsmanlike penalty? Seriously. He was in the refs face for like 10-15 seconds straight bitching and cursing him. I have rarely ever seen that not be a penalty before.

Not too bad. I liked that period. This period also showed the team what they need to do to score...go blocker side on Rinne. Not thrilled about the end of the period and them playing fancy pass for the last 20-30 seconds instead of just shooting the puck at net, but overall a decent period. Lets keep 'er going boys!

Not a comment about his particular hit, just a general comment: Its funny, but also a bit sad to think back on the preseason. Shanny was harsh, but it seemd like he was being pretty consistent and sending a message. And NHL fans were happy enough to be rid of the Campbell wheel of justice... Then the regular season started, and all consistency was gone, and we saw that we were almost right back where we started from, the only thing that happened was that we switched from Campbells wheel of justice, over to Shannys wheel of justice. "Meet the new boss, same as the old boss."

This is some of the worst ******* playoff reffing I have ever seen. Like Mickey implied, all the excitement and potential of this game has been completely sucked out of it by the bulls*** reffing. I ******* hope this isn't what we should expect of this whole playoffs. If it is, the NHL is officially a complete joke.
