I noticed it much sooner than that. Eaves being out has had a much bigger effect than many people realize. Its such a major bummer having him out so long. He brought much needed skills and balance to our bottom lines.

I'm right there with you, but according to Jolly, we must just be idiots or blind or not watch as much hockey as we claim, because according to him plays exactly like that happen "all the time". In fact, they happen so often, that he made sure to put ALL THE TIME in all caps for emphasis.

Not to get off topic, but I don't even fully blame these young players, its beyond that, its the entire generation and the way they've been brought up. It seems anyone under the age of about 35 or so these days is part of what has been referred to as the "entitlement generation" and bases their philosophy and attitude on the "I am owed the world on a platter" type mentality.

I wouldn't even consider Hossa as "leaving Detroit" being that we all knew he was only going to be here for 1 year anyway. And yeah, Radulov is definitely a big question mark for them, as we all know he has absolutely zero loyalty and is only in it for the money. Not only that, but he has even made comments to the effect of he doesn't think he has to go back to the KHL next year, even though he is contractually obligated to. So not only does he not care about any team, only how much they pay him, he apparantly thinks contracts are just pieces of paper, nothing more, and they don't have to be honored if he has a change of mind and no longer likes the terms of the contract. I wouldn't bank anything for certain on someone like that.

I am surprised and find it interesting that so many people in this thread listed the Blues. You would never see them listed by so many people in a thread like this in previous years I am wondering the reasoning behind that? Is it just because you ignored the advice of everyone since before the start of the season and still chose to underestimate them? You're mad they did so good this season? You can find a world class example of pretty much every style there is produced by some American brewery.

As much as I don't like blue moon either, at least a fake white with a orange slice in it has a bit of flavor. I'd consider people drinking fruit laden blue moon a lot more of a "beer drinker" than the people who like to drink corn flavored seltzer water and call it beer. Which is, unfotunately, like 95% of the "beer drinkers" in this country.

The proposed alignment that was shot down earlier this season? Travel was part of it but the other main thing was that the conferences became uneven, giving the east an advantage to make the playoffs. I forget exactly how much, but it was a significant advantage, like 7 or 8%

LOL It IS a liability thing and is 100% justifiable considering that everyone in this country sues at the drop of a hat, and if ANYTHING had happened to the kid while on the ice, you can guarantee there would have been a lawsuit. Like I said, you have to turn off the emotions and think about it rationally though...

Avery a bully? LOL I think its the exact opposite. Avery is the type of person that will talk s*** and try to instigate a fight, but then when you are like "OK, thats enough *****, lets go" he runs away. To put in in real world terms, he is the type of dude who would start a fight at a bar and then run and call the cops when you hit him. Or only fight you when he was with 10 of his buddies. Or the kid in the school yard who wants to talk trash and push other kids, then when he gets punched in the face for it, he runs crying to the teacher.
