The world is no more dangerous now, than it always has been really. Same as it ever was. The job of the media and government though, is to scare the people and convince them that it is much more dangerous now, and every new day is even much more dangerous than the last, so that they can pass all types of fun new restrictions without much objection from the people... That said, I agree the border officials are no joke these days, so best to have everything you need in order before you get there. Thats why I haven't been to Canada in years. Just too much hassle these days. It used to be you just hopped in your car and went... no ridiculous waits, no searches, no passports required.

Being that Mule and the boys will likely pick up the tab for anyone that gets fined by this retarded new "Bettman Rule", no reason not to keep throwing 'em!!! You mean like they have for years, until Gary Bettman got involved the other day? Police are public servants, not Bettmans servants. They should be looking out for the public in the area they are sworn to protect, the people who pay their salaries. In this case, the public has made it 100% clear they do not want this enforced, as it is tradition and has never been enforced in the past. But some multi-billion dollar corporation head from the other side of the country calls the local police and says "start enforcing the law anyways" and the police immediately roll over and comply? Who are they really serving here... Seriously, think about it. Thats some scary s***, right there...

Exactly. There is obviously more to this... And even if there is some new "law" that hockey fans can no longer throw anything on the ice, what happens when a player gets a hat trick? They call in the national guard to come in and arrest hundreds of people?

This was at the Wings game, right? I ask because the Chicago "fans"* do the "Wings/Detroit sucks" chant regardless of what team they are playing. They aren't very bright out there... *I think Chicago has more Detroit haters than actual Hawks fans

Don't forget that LaRue was also the ref that let a 6th Pittsburgh player not only skate right by him and be on the ice, but up in the zone and in the actual play for like 20 seconds in the '09 finals while he was watching the whole thing. He also appeared to be yelling at one their players at one point during when they had too many men on the ice, to tell them to get off the ice, instead of calling the penalty that should have been called.* *I have also heard from people that were at ice level during the game, that he did indeed yell at them to get a man off instead of calling the penalty

I like how they have the winner of the Wings vs. Coyotes matchup as the Predators and the winner of the Penguins vs Lightning matchup as the Flyers... WTF? Its like they all got together and smoked several multi-gram crack rocks before hand so that they could try to put together the most retarded and nonsensical chart they possibly could. If that was the plan, they should be proud. They succeeded with flying colors.

Damn... Now I'm torn. From the clip I saw in the game, at full speed, I thought it was a nice elbow... BUT...from that clip, honestly, it looks like a bit of embellishment to me on Seabrooks part; NOT saying Abby didn't catch him a bit, just that Seabrook, from that clip, looked to do a great job of trying to sell it. (just my opinion, of course)

Not even just today, but the past few weeks. I have to admit, I am fully expecting the refs, by direct order of the NHL/Bettman to try to throw this game to Minnesota to get their precious Hawks in it. Sad thing is... Even if the Hawks win the Cup this year, no real hockey fan will ever respect it as a true cup win, seeing as how the league/refs did everything in their power, including trying to throw, AND actually throwing games with their BS calls, to get the hawks into the finals.

Against any other team? No. Against the Pens and/or Hawks? Likely.

Doesn't negate the fact that the ONLY reason he was suspended was because he upset the wee widdle feeling of a Hawks fan who also happens to be a mod there, and was mad about the loss of his team. Hawks fans and Gary Bettman have nothing to complain about here. The refs did absolutely EVERYTHING in their power to try to throw the game to the Hawks... The Wings just kept battling against both the Hawks and the corrupt ass refs to take this one home. f*** YOU BETTMAN!!!!! LETS GO STARS!!!

They were looking at it, they saw it. As much as I hate to admit and sound like a crazy, the only explaination at this point as to the ******* ridiculous calls/non-calls in Chicagos favor the past several games, is the league purposely trying to throw games in their favor to get them into the playoffs. Corruption to further business interests in its finest form...

I gotta admit, I am REALLY starting to believe the "big conspiracy" floating around now throught the fans and players of the league, that the refs have orders from the Bettman and the NHL to try to throw games to Chicago by BS calls/non-calls to get them into the playoffs. Not this s*** yet again. The reffing against the Wings the past few weeks has been ridiculously ******* abysmal. And here we are, yet again... Two periods in. The actual penalties committed by each team appears to be about even... But three calls against the Wings, and ZERO against Carolina. Complete BS. Did all the refs get together and agree to f*** the Wings over these last few weeks, or what???

Hopefully they do change it. That whole thing is completely retarded. How can you be a unrestricted free agent, and still have to clear waivers? Doesn't that, oh, you know, contradict the whole UNRESTRICTED part of unrestricted free agent?
