Hopefully this is on FSD so I can see it in HD. My local cable has it currently listed to be on FSD+ (non-hd in my area), despite the wings site saying its on FSD. Hoping thats just a mix up in the cable listings...

Don't feel bad. I have friends all over North America that are fans of various teams, and for some reason the fans of most other teams consider Detroit to be one of or THE big rivalry to their team, while to Detroit and their fans, they are just another team in the league. I assume it has to do with the fact that over the past couple decades Detroit has become the team to measure yourself against to most other teams, and all teams want to play good and hard against them.

Yeah, that was an interesting moment. When they showed him sitting there looking like he literally wanted to kill someone, I was about to say something to my girl, and before I could even get the words out, she turned to me and said "Damn...I've never seen Lidstrom look so pissed off before" She is not even a big hockey fan, just watches a lot of games with me, and even she noticed that.

They need to get rid of that stupid ******* instigater rule. I think they'd be amazed at the amount of reduction in concussions that alone would bring. I also think they need to do away with the trapezoid too. That wouldn't have as much impact as the instigater rule being taken out, but it would help bring a small reduction as well. Not to mention its just a completely retarded rule.

If the Islanders hadn't claimed him, some other team would have. At the price, I'm sure almost every team in the NHL put a claim in on him.

Are they playing the game on versus? The Red Wings site, the Versus schedule, and my local cable have it listed to be on versus, but its not. Its only on FSD+ here fro some reason. Kinda pisses me off, because I missed the first few minutes, thinking versus was just running some Cup flashbacks before the game. Then on a whim, I filpped to FSD+ real quick and the game was on! WTF?

Maybe not all 4, but definitely more than one. I don't know... I feel like sometimes he thinks hes Hasek or something, and gets way out of position and starts flopping around all over the ice, which usually doesn't work out too well for him.

I think thats why Kronwall did it in the first place, because the refs made it pretty clear that even though they should blow the whistle, that they weren't going to and Eaves was on his own.

Stopped into one of the markets today to buy some things, and asked the guys at the beer & wine counter if they had any KBS, thinking it was already long gone and they'd surely say no, but to my surprise, I got 2 bottles! Also snagged 2 bottles of their Imperial Stout, which I also thought was long gone by now. Sweet!

I have to admit though, Otts statement about the hit is both funny and ironic. It's like if someone threw a leg out on Matt Cooke and broke his knee, and Cooke complained to the media that a play like that is beyond dirty and anyone making that play should be facing serious suspension... While true, still funny in its hypocritical irony.

Agreed. While Cooke is a scumbag that takes deliberate dirty shots at people, he is definitely not what most people would consider an enforcer. The opposite actually. Cooke is a total *****. He pretty much always refuses to take that visor off and drop the gloves when guys want to go with him, because he knows he'll get his ass handed to him if he does. No players fear Cooke as a fighter or tough guy. Plus Cooke/the Pens would kind of be exempt from the bulk of this kind of rule anyway, as he plays for the Pens, who as we all know get special treatment from the league. If he were on any other team he would have already had multiple suspensions this year already. Thats probably why Mario is so in favor of it.

Its true. Whether you get to see them in HD in your area though is a different story. Where I am at all the games except the ones of FSD+ are in HD, but thats only because there is no FSD+ HD channel on our cable here in Ohio. If there were, we'd get all the games in HD.

This. There will usually be links to all the game streams on that (myp2p EU) forum. Some people will suggest atdhe or whatever it is, but I would NEVER suggest that site. It ******* sucks. The couple time I went to it to view games, there was all kids of malware and viruses trying to attack my computer. IMO, avoid atdhe at all costs.

The Montreal police are investigating the Chara hit? C'mon...are you ******* serious? I agree the league needs to take actions to prevent injuries, but the Habs fans (which include Air Canada, which is based in Montreal) are taking s*** to a whole new level of butthurt-ness. Nobody seemed to care about all of the blatant dirty hits that have happened all season, but now that a Habs player got injured, on a play which I honestly don't think was a dirty play, but more of a freak thing due to the design of the rink, they are all outraged. This whole thing reminds of the Mario rant a few weeks back.

So, did all the refs in the league get together and decide to f*** the Wings out of a goal almost every game or something? Seriously... How many goals on both sides of the ice have the Wings been f***ed out of now in the past few weeks by bad calls? This s*** is getting absolutely ridiculous.
