He has actually said something similar to that is a couple different interviews in the last couple months. He made it sound like, as long as he feels he is still playing as good as he wants to, and is still getting get tons of ice time on the top lines, then he will keep playing until he doesn't.. Which is reassuring, because he is looking really good this season.

Unfortunately though, the Wings apparantly thought that was the end of the game, and never bothered to show up for the third period... That was a GREAT goal by Helmsie though! Just wish the last period wasn't so utterly disappointing.

I think the Wings play a lot better when they are getting f***ed over by the refs. The first two periods, when the refs seemed to be actively trying to throw the game to the coyotes, the Wings battled through and went up 4-1. In the third where the calls were more or less even, the Wings completely choked and handed the game over to the coyotes themselves on a silver platter. What a totally dissapointing ending. But that seems to be the Wings MO lately when it looks like the game should be theirs. Go up by a few, to where the game should be completely in hand, then completely give up and go to sleep while the other team embarrases you. Its a great strategy...

Man, refs in this one are on some bulls***. This is the very definition of refs trying to throw a game to one side. I mean, come on, they've given them what? Like 6 or 7 power plays already??? What have we gotten? One? I'm conspiracy theorist or tin foil hat wearer, but god damn... And that coyotes goal was BS. Nobody can argue that if that same thing happened on the other end, they would have whistled it off immediately, with no hesitation. Hell, that was like 1000 time worse than that one where they called our goal off claiming Homer interfered, even though he never touched the goalie, and if he did, he maybe slighy brushed his jersey. And GREAT job on Helmsie!!! Give a big "f*** you" to the refs, kiddo! Wow, that game was a lot more than I expected! I think everyone already knew there would be at least a fight or two in that game before it even started. The Isles are an angry team right now that literally have nothing to lose at this point. The Pens are a team that broke their goalies face about a week ago. I just never expected that much! Yeah, it was over the top, but good on the Isles! The Pens are a team protect on high by Lord Bettman. So I'm glad the team with nothing to lose said "f*** it" and just went after them.
