Well, Cooke pretty much said it all. That he could not care less if he injures or even kills another player, because in his mind, every player he ever hit in a dirty fashion deserved it. And the only thing he is worried about when he makes a dirty hit on someone, is not whether they are hurt or not, but whether he will get suspended. There you have it NHL... Right from Cookes mouth. He will NOT stop playing dirty until the league says "thats enough" and hands him a massive suspension. And even then, he'll likely keep playing the way he does because he feels if your head is down or you are facing the boards, the only proper thing to do is either run you head first into the boards, or gain as much speed and you can and jump into their head with a flying elbow. And if you skate by him, naturally the only thing he can do is throw his knee out and try to break yours. The other person that suggest his behavior, and his response to his own behavior is that of a sociopath, had it pretty right on. "Its always the other guys fault, I have NEVER done ANYTHING wrong!" Go check the criteria for being a sociopath, and you will see that Cooke pretty much exhibits damn near every sociopathic tendency on the list. I actually like the suggestion of declaring open season on Cooke for a week with no suspensions. That would teach that little punk, well, at least for a week it would, then he'd be up to the same s***, I'm sure. And somewhat unrelated, but another thing that pisses me off about Cooke, is that the guy is not only the dirtiest player on the ice, and a cheapshot artist, but he is a total ******* *****. He wears that visor, and refuses to fight, unless its some non-fighter he knows he can take and/or sucker punch. (and even then he would never even dream of taking his visor off, cause he is a little *****) You don't see other guys like Pronger acting like that. Challenge Pronger, and he'll throw down with you, not puss out like a little *****. Cooke is a total coward and *****, in addition to holding the title of "Dirtiest player in the NHL"

Haha, I feel you. At the end of the first, I was just about to pick up the phone and call them back and tell them pretty much the same thing "I pay for cable to watch hockey, nothing else! If I can't watch hockey, why am I paying you?" Then I checked 110 first, and it was back on. Yay!

You are obviously not familiar with Matt Cooke and his style of "play". If you were, there would be no question that it was intentional and he did mean to stick his knee out like that in an attempt to injure Ovechkin. Thats what he does. He throws his knees out in attempts to injure people. This is not the first, or fifth, or tenth time he has done it. He literally does it ALL the time. Dirtiest player on the ice by far. He makes guys like Pronger look like boy scouts.

Cooke is a Penguin. Unless he gets traded to another team and takes one of those dirty runs at Crosby, the league will never do anything to punish Cooke. As you suggested, having a headhunter go after, and take care of, Cooke is the only way he will ever get whats coming to him, unfortunately.

I think it is more to do with him being such a delicate little flower that gets injured every time the wind even blows on him. Seriously...how on earth did that little wimpy punch fracture his face? My little niece could have taken that punch and walked away no worse for wear. Talk about a glass jaw... This is the very definition.

I went into one of the arbys and the girl at the counter had no clue what I was talking about. I explained the promotion and what a hat trick was to her, and mentioned that Franzen scored 5 goals in the game. Her response; "5 goals?! That should be worth at least a large fry then, eh?" I laughed and agreed. The manager didn't though and he gave me the standard small fry, lol.
