Over the past few days I drank a 4 pack of Surly Furious, a 4 pack of Surly Abrasive and a growler of Town Hall Masala Mama that a buddy in Minnesota sent to me.:beerbuddy: Yum!
-
Hudler has played "average" the first half? Man, I wish you were my teacher in high school. I would have made the honor role!
-
Yeah, I read some comments on one of the forums and found the number of "the league NEVER hands out discipline unless a Red Wing is hit" comments funny. Its like some people just hate the Wings so much it makes them retarded and causes them to make statements like that.
-
I liked the hysterical girl in the comment section screaming about how Kostopoulos should get life in prison for last night.
-
I just read on nhl.com that Bettman plans to shut down the league until Cindy is feeling better...

The ref probably would have just made some excuse to save face anyway and still called it no goal. Remember that on the Brad May goal, Toronto did call down and tell LaRue that it was most definitely a good goal, but LaRue argued about it and refused to reverse his call, because his massive ego would not let him admit he was wrong, even though Toronto, the people looking at the play from every angle, told him he was most definitely wrong on the phone. s***, even Mike Murphey did a pregame interview the next game basically apologizing and admitting LaRue was wrong. And that s*** NEVER happens! (yes, I'm still a bit bitter)

Again, I point to reading comprehension, or lack thereof. There was no theory. I simply made a true statement based on conversations I have had with various people. Perhaps go back and re-read what I said.
-
Perhaps you should work on your reading comprehension skills a bit, eh? I said, and I quote "ALMOST all people I'VE TALKED TO" I didn't make any sweeping generalization, I clearly stated that what I said was just based on people I have personally talked to. I never said all either, I said almost all.
-
You took that post and came to this ridiculous conclusion from it? What are you a mormon? lol
-
You want Hudler to start fighting? You realize the kid is like 5'2" and 100 pounds soaking wet, and his head would likely explode on the first punchto the face he received, right?
-
I've found that almost all people I've talked to who say they don't like beer never really tried any beer. They've only sampled piss ass industrial lagers and have based their opinion on all beers on those experiences.
-
He is like that a lot. I assume its because he gets drunk before the games, and doesn't drink during them, so as the game goes on, he sobers up. I don't hate any of the guys. The two I like least are York and Keating though. Kenny, Mick, Murph and Trev are alright in my book.:beerbuddy: Actually, I misspoke. There is someone I dislike. I forget his name, but he is some younger little gelled up spikey haired pissant that annoys the hell out of me. Justin something, I think.

I said it before, I'll say it again. Why on earth would people here be upset Wings aren't getting voted in? Seriously? Good. It'd be better if no Wings were in it at all. Its a pointless game, and the last thing we need is to risk a possible injury, in of all things, the all star game. Let the Pens fans vote the whole team in. The less Wings in the game, the less chance we have of a totally unessessary injury.

Howard, Stuart, Eaves possible Tuesday against the Oil

Seems like more of the pussified, "everyone gets a trophy" type mentality that is prevalent these days all over society to me. "I know we should, but we can't bench little Jimmy, cause we might hurt his feelings and "shake his confidence"" -
I swallowed a roach of death star about 15 minutes ago, when I was walking down the street and looked over to see a cop crossing the street towards me. I haven't eaten all day, and my stomach is feeling f***ed up now. And my burps smell like dank.

This is true. I always wanted to play hocley as a kid, but we couldn't afford it. Thinking back, it was pretty much the richedst kids in school who played hockey. But like you said, you're a woman, so you are less likely to have people harassing you as such. As a man, I can say that hockey fans are no different that football fans. I have been taunted, threatened, had beer "accidentally" spilled on me, etc. at hockey games for wearing my Wings jersey in "enemy" territory. Pretty much everything except being physically assaulted. (and thats probably just because I am a big guy and would have knocked them into a coma)

I'm not so sure. All of the people I know that were going to watch it, myself included, aren't going to watch it now, since we all have plans for tonight that have been in place for a couple weeks. I think they will actually get worse ratings since they switched the time because, one, a lot of people are unaware that they even switched the time, and two, it is Saturday night on New Years day, and a lot of people already have plans for tonight.
-
I don't watch it either. But the fact is America is a violent country, inhabited by violent people, who love violence. To say the only way to make hockey popular to Americans is to take fighting out, is just so completely mindblowingly wrong, it makes you wonder if the person who wrote something like that was smoking crack at the time they wrote it.
-
Because some journalists are clueless morons? Hell, if anything, to make it catch on with the "average American", you'd have to have MORE fights. At the very minimum one a game, I'd guess.

Zetterberg questionable, Rafalski game-time decision

Bummer. Usually when your back seizes up out of nowhere like that, its because you bulged a disc and the muscles are tightening up as a reaction to that. -
Lesson number one for all the young ones out there; buckle up your chinstrap all the time.
-
Wrong. If there was contact, it was because his chinstrap wasn't done up properly. That was a whiplash play more than anything else.
-
Yeah, when the calls are 7-0, its pretty hard to argue that there was no bias involved, and the refs weren't trying to give the game to one team over the other.
-
Word. Seems that most players start using them after a broken foot or ankle anyways. Sucks thats what it takes to get them to start wearing them though.
-
Or, just to play devils advocate, you could say it was a "Hey I'm Dan Cleary and I'm going to jump with a 100mph puck coming at me for no good reason knowing I have no skate guards on and we are already up 4 (or 3?) nothing and have the game in hand" plays.
