Even though obviously Ken and Mick are better to listen to, I have to say, its definitely a breath of fresh air getting to watch these games without the endless flashing and scrolling ticker on the bottom of the screen like the fox broadcasts.

Meh. As already pointed out, McQuaid not only threw his knee out to attempt to injure Roussel on that play, but after he (McQuaid) hit the boards, he immediately turned around and was in the process of throwing his gloves off and throwing a haymaker to Roussels head. Roussel acted instinctively and just got McQuaid in the throat. Most of us likely would have done the same thing in the heat of the moment with some large guy about to hit you in the head with a big haymaker with only a split second to respond.

Does the nbcsn feed look kinda blurry and low def to anyone else? Or is it just my cable company?

I don't want Buffalo to get McDavid, due to their blatantly obvious tanking in their attempt to score him, but then again the Oil definitely doesn't deserve him either.

Great to see the boys pull out a win in an early weekend game. (being they normally choke on these afternoon games) And absolutely beautiful to see them pull out a decisive win despite all the complete bull s*** non-calls, and chintzy calls later on by the moron refs whose main intentions seemed to be to try to throw the game...err...uhhh...I mean, "even up" the game since we were the dominant team since the puck drop.

@TheXym I'm surprised they gave you free curly fries all they way out there in NY. I'm down here in Toledo and they always act like they have no clue what I'm talking about when I go in after a hat trick for free curly fries. (but they give them to me anyways)

I talked to my buddy in NY who is a Sabres fan this afternoon, and he said most of the fans out there are furious. They have completely turned against the Sabres brass and are accusing them of intentionally tanking to try to get McDavid for their "rebuild" In reference to the Sabres brass, the phrase "disgrace to the Sabres brand" was mentioned several times in our short convo...

Gotta love the blindly biased announcers claiming that Paquette threw the first punch and Chara countered. What the replay clearly shows is Paquette skate up to Chara and chirp at him, at which point Chara throws a dirty cross check/butt end to his face, that Paquette returns. The Chara throws a gloved sucher punch, and knocks him down.

I didn't really need to be reminded of that horrible no goal call against Miller a few months ago...that just annoyed me. You know its really bad when Kenny Daniels, who always bites his tongue and pretty much never contradicts or says negative anything about the refs calls it one of the worst calls in the history of hockey...

Howie needs to get back to the basics and just stay in the crease and square up to the shooters. He is coming wayyy the f*** outside the goal and leaving the net wide open. That second goal was ridiculous, Howie was way back in the trapezoid behind the net leaving the net completely open. A drunken rec leaguer could have scored on that one.

WTF? They said the call on the ice was no goal. Am I crazy, or did the ref right behind the goal not clearly point and indicate it was a GOOD goal?

NBC shows some of the weekend games and the "Wednesday rivalry" games. Looks like most of those for the Wings have already happened though. The Wings schedule says there will be 3 games aired on NBC in March but it looks like none until then. I think most of us have either cable or satellite or some sort of internet hockey package. Maybe just go down to a local bar to watch the games if you don't want cable or satellite?
