GCL on PS3 has been awful for me so far. At it's best, it looks like it's dropping every other frame (hurts your eyes as the camera pans). Tonight, it was at it's worst. The bitrate would change about every 10-20 seconds, and when it did, it would jump ahead or behind in the game by a minute or so. This is at ~3am local time, so I don't see how traffic could be an issue, and I ran a couple of tests at speedtest.net and was getting 25-30Mbps every single time, so it's not my internet. Tried fully cycling the PS3 to no avail.
The other day, I was starting the game about 1hr late, and when I would try to fast forward at commercials or intermission, the feed would jump WAY further ahead than it said. 1-2 minutes forward would jump forward about 25 minutes. I ended up have to rewind 10 minutes to "fast forward" past the intermission break
Can't imagine how the NHL thought they deserved an extra 10 bucks from me for this (MLB was free, and the service was significantly better). In hindsight, I wish I would have gotten Center Ice instead, and dealt with the opponent feed plus having to set the DVR.
Thanks for keeping us updated McAwesome. I'm hoping the NHL can turn this thing around.
