Well we are getting thoroughly dominated so far. Getting out of our zone in a controlled fashion just seems impossible right now, and we're losing just about every one-on-one battle.

What a lovely GDT. God I've missed hockey, it's good to be back! Luckily I don't need to be up early tomorrow so can actually watch the whole game, long as I don't fall asleep midway. Let's go Wings!

I don't really mind what kind of charity the money goes towards, and I certainly won't be looking to get some kind of refund on my meager donation no matter what ends up being decided. I have to say it's a strange charity that doesn't accept money but hey, what can you do.

Noticed this too, and more physical play in general. Might be related to how the big NHL names seem a lot more willing to travel to these tournaments now than before, for some reason the players care more for the WC now than some years ago. It's nice to see, even if the WC will never be a truly comprehensive tournament because of the NHL season conflicts.

Just got home from watching FIN-USA at a friends' place. Good game overall, though I do agree the refs seemed to have completely lost their whistles. Flip and Koivu were unbelievable all game long, just absolutely dominating in the US end.

Well, thanks for the season guys and girls. Gonna go punch a hole in the wall now, can't bear to say more about this performance before I've calmed down. Thanks Nick, I hope you come back but I won't blame you if you don't seeing how this season went.

Somehow the Preds have made our top lines look completely impotent offensively through the whole series. It's not over yet, but the guys who put up the points in the regular season better start turning up or we're going golfing.

I wish we'd take shots from somewhere else than the blue line occasionally on PP. Despite how good our D-men are at this business, it's just too predictable right now. Gotta diversify, we have good dangerous forwards so let's threaten a shot from any position.
