With due respect to Pav, Flip, White and so on but our MVP so far this season has by far been Jimmy Howard. He's been exceptional.

Happy birthday! As for the Pens injuries, weirdly enough I'm just more scared now. I know it makes no sense whatsoever but just feels like exactly the type of game where a hot goalie stonewalls us and we lose 2-1 with SOG at like 50-20 for us. Well, that's enough jinxing for now. Prove me wrong guys!

I love this team. SO. MUCH. EDIT: This reminds me of something I read in Jari Kurri's biography about Gretzky. I believe Kurri said something like: "The first thing you learned playing with Wayne was to always keep your stick on the ice because the pass could come at any time, from any angle."

So does anyone know for a fact how the third round seeding will happen? If it's regular season points it'll mean we can play against for example SJ / Van in the Cup finals, which would be pretty nice. If it's west vs. west and east vs. east I'll be a lot less excited. But yeah I guess I have to agree this is a good change overall for us, with my timezone I welcome any change that means less late games.

I just don't get in what world having two seven-team conferences and two eight-team conferences and taking four teams to the playoffs from each one is fair. Then again I guess money overrides such concerns. It's just hilarious when both 7-team conferences are eastern despite there being more teams in the eastern timezones...
