Why does the league allow cross checks to the back of guys laying on the ice? Seems to happen quite often, regardless of who is playing.

I would argue the rest of the team needs to shoulder a lot of the blame. To use your example, the Wings are like Ned Beatty willingly dropping trou and then shaking their collective ass at the red neck.

Unfortunately we've been saying that about the D for months now and I'm not convinced they can turn it on at will during the playoffs. I'd be curious to know the last Cup winner with our current GAA.
