I can skate, it's the stopping that gets me. I'm like the kid from the Mighty Ducks movie and have to either run into the boards if I'm outside or run into my wife if we are outside. She's not a big fan of my skating skills

My wife says watching the Wings is turning me into a cranky old man much faster than nature and biology so I guess I'll go play some Gran Turismo 5 for awhile... Driving ridiculously expensive cars is always fun.

I never said they weren't playing hard and I don't know what Babcock can do... I think a lot of it comes down to poor decision making which results in turnovers, which keeps the puck in our zone, which tires the guys out faster, etc, etc, etc...

It's an interesting thought... one I hadn't really considered. It seems we always hear about coaches losing teams in basketball and football but not so much in hockey (though I'll admit, I generally follow the Wings and not so much the rest of the league). It makes sense when you consider Babcock has been saying the same thing about playing defense, starting on time, etc for the past month and nothing has changed.

It's strange but I remember a few months back when they looked virtually unbeatable over a decent stretch of games... They started slipping before the injuries and things have only gotten worse. Maybe they should start shopping at Staples so they can use that damn Easy button to fix everything.

Did I hear correctly earlier, Nashville is 20 something in terms of goals scored (26th)? If so, it's frightening to think what they and Ottawa have done to us recently.

Was thinking the same thing... Is there a blizzard we don't know about and everyone is trapped at work or on the road? Maybe their heads exploded by the awesomeness that is Datsyuk last game so they're not around to watch this game?

Position? Who needs it when you're channelling you inner Hasek! Now there's a guy who drove me nuts. I thought the Wings needed a disclaimer before the game, "danger, watching this game may cause sudden heart attacks in fat guys" (myself included of course )
