My wife has a theory that they wake you up every hour or two so they can just blame whatever is wrong with you on lack of sleep if they can't find an answer. Of course she was pregnant last time so the reason was pretty obvious

WAS/TBL: 4/2 PHI/BOS: 4/2 VAN/NSH: 4/3 SJS/DET: 4/2

Of course he's great, haven't you seen how tall he is!
-
I wish I had some disposable income so I could buy it and then burn it... that would be fun.
-
Nice! Thanks for the link... +1 for you!

I've been impressed with him the few times I've been able to watch him play. Seems to have a lot of fire and has found a way to keep it channeled in a positive manner. Not sure if one of the older guys pulled him aside and told him to calm down or if it was something he learned over time, but it looks to be paying dividends. Night and day from the game I saw earlier this year, though one or two games aren't a very big sample.

Wow, my wife says guys look bad in Hawaiian shirts... I've never seen a Hawaiian suit. Would be even better if it was a leisure suit.

So what's everyone think of Subban? I haven't caught many Canadians games this year but from the few I've watched he seems to have calmed down a bit. Earlier this year he looked like my kid hyped up on sugar and red bull.
-
I saw him standing in front of the net doing his Holmstrom impression... best guess is that he's hoping they won't notice him so he can sneak something in. Hard to screen a goalie when he can see over your head while hunched over.

Looking forward to the article!

Well I certainly wouldn't rule that out given their goalie Russian roulette
-
It will fit... you can jump rope with his chin strap the damn thing is so long.

Seems like we've seen a lot of 3-0 leads disappear this year but Buffalo isn't doing much to inspire any confidence.
-
Nice redirect and a nice Rafalski like deflectable shot

I don't think I will make any more comments on how great Miller is. I am definitely bad luck.
-
Miller is looking sharp, about the only thing giving Buffalo a chance.

I have to hand it to Philly fans, at least they are all wearing colors that match their teams home jerseys.

Like many people I'm partial to Nashville if only for the start time on away games. Also, wouldn't mind the Sharks and Hawks beating each other up, especially with Niemi in goal, could make for an interesting twist in the series.

The 'stache is going to come out and play in goal.

I'm very conflicted about cheering for Chicago but I can't ignore the awesomeness of playing Nashville and having reasonable start times for our away games. On the other hand I live less than 2 hours from Chicago, am surrounded by Hawks fans, and love watching them suffer after having to listen to them for the past year and a half. If you think the "Core Debate" thread can be frustrating you should try being surrounded by Chicago meatheads... If Dante was still around I'm pretty sure it would be the new 7th circle of hell.

I don't think there is an actual conspiracy filled with guys in smokey rooms deciding how many games a series will go. I would argue that the league could influence the refs by whatever method they use for evaluating officials (assuming they do, I know I shouldn't apply logic to the NHL). They might reprimand an official for making certain calls while praising another official for something else.

2nd time it's happened this game. Funny part was he got it back upside down, Thornton still wouldn't shoot, then he lost the stick a 3rd time. Funny stuff

That bounce off the boards looks like something you'd see at the Joe... kind of like the Fedorov goal back in the day when it bounced off the dasher, hit the goalie in the back of the skate and went in... good times.
-
Malone on the breakaway!

Can't decide if I'm more shocked the refs missed the obvious call or that a Penguin actually committed a penalty. Wasn't sure that could happen, especially late in a playoff game while trailing on the scoreboard.
