I miss the days of our biggest problem being whether or not Filppula and Hudler were going to shoot.*sigh*

Huge LOL (not judging anyone though)

Who is YOUR most under-appreciated/unsung Red Wing?

In my mind Konstantinov would have been legendary had that tragedy not occurred. -

Daniel Cleary -
You predicted doom. And last season you were right. So it'll be doom this year, right? Not putting words in anyone's mouth And correcting grammar isn't pathetic? And yes I am 5 actually, is that a problem for u?
-
Yup, doom is pretty much certain your right. Who's gonna win the cup this year? Your always right... Right?

Where's Paulwoodsfan when you need him??? -
This makes Webers contract look like a steal, and it's not.

I like the cap, but completely agree that it induces lockouts.

No, being almost completely healthy and finishing in the basement of the league is... well, the basement. See: Florida, Buffalo, etc. You've avoided my comments in this thread thus far, so I'll let that speak to the quality of your opinion. But for most regulars around here you've already painted yourself as a doom n gloomer who back peddles when called out. So goodluck with your terse detracting responses.

But Franzen is on a terrible contract right?

Confused on the direction of this team going forward

I don't think anyone around here considers Kronwall #1 #2 or #3. And I think your being a bit unjustly argumentative thinking that anyone around here seriously would. I don't think I've ever seen Kronwall ranked in the top5 around here. But you just assumed your definition of elite was the same as everyone else's right? -

Kronwall finished 13th in Norris voting this year. That means he's ranked higher than 168 NHL D regulars among the theoretical 180. And that's on a team that was severely injured the entire season, with a weak D, and a goalie in a down year. If elite to you is top 10, cool. But that's good enough to me to not split hairs about it... -

Thanks I'll definitely look for that!

The Wings definitely play to their advantage, and the biggest one is finding diamond in the rough young players AKA scouting. I have no problem with the organization exploiting this strength. -
What facts have you presented? I'll quote a rational individual I know: "Troll Harder" I guess you didn't catch it, but that's not what he's laughing at bud

Yes LGW is very aware of your "FACTS" har har har

This looks awesome. At the end of the day when you ask what is the coolest thing about the Red Wings I'll say the Russian 5. I loved them. That was the beginning of the Red Wings being the most progressive hockey team, going where other teams wouldn't think to, to build a dynasty. And it really was the beginning of our dynasty. They were mesmerizing to watch. It was like "Hey you know that crazy good Soviet team that has played in 5 man units since birth that dominates the world, they're ours now". Can't wait for this. One of the things I loved was all the stories of what those Russians had to do to defect from the USSR. Backroom deals, players jumping out of moving trucks, faking serious ailments, dodging the KGB, If anyone remembers any of those please share.

SHUN THE NON-BELIEVERS SHUNNNNNNNNNNNNNN -
With the ridiculous season we had last year, this team is one of the biggest, if not the biggest, toss up in the league this year. Could stay healthy and finish with good playoff position. Could go through the same injuries and squeak in or miss the playoffs. Anyone certain of where this team will finish is either crazy or possesses a crystal ball. Which are you?
-
Most teams in our division got worse or stayed the same this year. Are you watching the offseason?
