Get to know our new D-Man! Kyle Quincey. Bland, fried in bland, with a side of bland. Served with a tall glass of bland. Playing style? Bland. -

Unbelievable. -
Ehrhoff and Boyle signed lower than expected, but I think more than a few other guys are getting too much

Ville Leino come on home boy!

Wow Ottawa is gonna suck. Good thing Alfie jumped ship. -
My money is on Boyle and only Boyle. No other signings.
-
Just let it die man, he's gone. This is a pointless argument. I'm sorry I continued it. Comparing Sammy to Q is dumb too and beside the point.
-
I think that's exactly what's happening. They're signing more stop gaps until the the kids are ready. It's been the plan for the last 3 years. They don't want to pay inflated market value for others team youth when they know we have a crap ton of our own on the way. EDIT: Plus we're going to be end up against this the cap this year after signings and it will only get worse next year and so on. They don't want to commit to an inflated long term deal that will bar us from signing our prospects in the future
-
Well considering the fact that his market value is well above a 2-way contract, I'd take him on one. If not just for selling. Sorry, that's the business man in me. I can't rhyme like Pac or Suess
-
He's not coming back. Ok? We'll never know if it's PR spin or not. You have ur Red Wings live in fantasy land opinion, I have a different one, but at the end of the day the loser is gone so lets just be happy about it. On a two way contract I'd take him!
-
Yeah and maybe that chance is only if he signs at a significant paycut... but what do I know I live in la la land with Holland and the care bears. EDIT: But I agree with RZ. This screams PR. "Oh we'd love to re-sign him... but we don't have the money! Sorry Q!" It's the same thing I tell the bums on Woodward
-
That's a little too R-rated for me! Joking aside, this whole "Holland has no balls" appeal to emotions, attacking his masculinity thing, is getting old. Plenty of GM's make big gutsy moves, only to have it majorly bite them in the rear. Milbury, Holmgren, Snow etc. He plays a conservative close to the vest style. If he really does lack guts, he makes up for it in brains.

What time does FA open tomorrow? Noon eastern?

I only got to watch Frk play when he was in the worlds. He seemed like a force out there during that time and I got really excited about him then. I hope he rediscovers that game at a pro level soon.
-
would have got a lot more if i remembered how to spell names lol
-
I have completely soured on Niskanen. He does not deserve anything close to the term and hit he's probably going to get. He's second pairing. Rather have Boyle on a short deal or let the kids play.
-
Looking at capgeek there are like a million options this years at D. Boyle Pitkanen Volchenkov Gleason Meszaros Ehrhoff Salo Orpik Mitchell Schultz Tallinder Robidas Morris Del Zotto Niskanen McBain Stralman Butler Murray Fayne Falk Gilbert Corvo Ellerby Engelland Wouldn't be surprised if Holland looked for a bargain deal outside of Boyle, Niskanen, and Ehrhoff
-
Those things don't matter in NHL14
-
Kronwall - Boyle Ehrhoff - Ericsson Smith - DeKeyser ^ our D would actually look legit for once

Orange is just never going to look good no matter what you do. They should have kept the green and all that.

Cap hit aside, If they bought out Purcell the owner would still have to pay him. Now that's Edmontons problem.
