Wouldn't surprise me either. That's good ol fashioned red blooded, blue collar American hockey.

No concussion, just neck strain. Tough kid

Can't remember the last time we were this pathetic

I WANT LIDSTROMMMMMM (((((((((((((((((((((((((( -
Backes is one of those guys that's so hard to find. I think he's just as unique as Datsyuk and Zetterberg. A guy that can score at that level and at the same time play with that level of physicality is a gem.
-
Prime - to my understanding - is 24 - 27 (not a hard and fast rule obviously) . If you look at his on pace numbers to compensate for the unfortunate injuries we, as wings fans, are all acutely aware of, he looks to be a pretty reliable 50-70 pt guy a season if healthy. I'd say that's decently fair, thou not a steal.

Fallacies you committed: 1. Ad hominem/Abusive fallacy 2. Post hoc ergo propter hoc (and you can't even prove the post hoc) 3. Texas sharp-shooter 4. Fallacy of composition And those are just a few. On top of your flip-flopping, you consistently argue with poor logic and reasoning. Hate to be the **** that picks apart your arguments like this, but you were begging for it after calling Echolalia "illogical", and I think you only reaffirmed his "highschool" assertion. The saddest part is I'm a pro-enforcer guy like yourself. You bring shame to my people. EDIT: My advice to you is don't make a controversial assertion around here unless you can back it up. Most LGW members know their sh**

Has Mikael Samuelsson finally played his last game for Detroit?

Things are actually going exactly as they should. The vets get the nod until they play themselves out of a roster spot. Sammy and Cleary are doing just that, playing themselves off the roster and, like Nyquist, one of these kids is going to earn their spot. -
I dont think we lack muscle, I think we lack heart/fire. After hitting Dats or Abby like that a guy like McCarty would have gone bezerk. Not saying that puts points on the board but I do think it really brings the team together and says hey lets beat these MOTHER *******
-
seeing him listed at 210 lb as well, pretty big for a highschooler.
-
That's awesome that Lucic didn't fight back, especially based on how drunk he appears lol
-
I whole-heartedly agree. We have all the talent, and nothing to back it up. WE ARE PUSHOVERS 29 other teams acknowledge that muscle/grit/intimidation are at least part of the game... except for us

I agree to an extent. It seems like most teams have figured out how to beat us. They don't give Datsyuk, Z, Alfredsson any space, and we don't score. A lot of plugs on this team. Guys like Holmstrom were 1 dimensional, but at least they had a dimension. Bring back Toots. -

I don't think Holland is the problem. No one could have foreseen how truly bad Weiss, Samuelsson, Cleary, and Quincey have been. Sammy has had success here and elsewhere. Cleary's success in the playoffs seems to be purely a fluke. Quincey had success everywhere but here. Weiss was Florida's #1 star, yet he's nothing here. IMO those are the glaring problems and they seem to be rooted in the system being a problem or our pro scouts being a problem. -
injured Weiss out until "at least after Christmas"

Not really true. Lecav does everything you described Fil does and more. Checks, goes to the dirty areas, has leadership presence, and consistently scores more. Vinny is gone because he was bought out, and he was bought out because he had a terrible contract, not because Fil is a better hockey player than he is. I agree with the rest of what you're saying though. -
Mrazek's only 21. Gotta think Monster will have 2-4 more years here in the D, unless we end up going with Petr over Jimmy
-
With Cleary and Sammy going, I'm fine with keeping one of the more reliable vets around as a depth forward that can play on any line. Betting he retires though.
-
On a 1 year deal, something like 1.5, I think he would be a great mentor for the youngens entering the bottom 6. He'd be a functional pp/so specialist, kinda like homer, minus the so in regards to homer
-
If Helm keeps playing the way he has been, he's got the job IMO. Kind of like him trying to break his mold of career 3rd line C Same with Andy. At many times now our 3rd line, with Andy at C, has been our best line out there. Of course if this doesn't continue, I'll deny this conversation ever happened and promptly edit these posts
-
I think he still has value. Was good playing with Z and D when we needed him there. Good shootout threat. And he'll be decently cheap.
-
Would like to see this next year Zetterberg - Datsyuk - Franzen Nyquist - Helm - Tatar Abdelkader - Andersson - Bertuzzi Miller - Glendening - Tootoo Kronwall - Ericsson Smith - Dekeyser Kindl - Lashoff Howard Gus If Alfredsson wants to come back I'd obviously be fine with that, a big FA addition wouldn't hurt either. Still a good team though.

Nvm. Took a look at the new CBA and we can't use a compliance buyout on him (Can only use on contracts signed before Sept 15, 2012). It will be a cap hit of 2,108,333 for the remainder of his contract if we use an ordinary buyout Would rather have Krupp at this point
-
Can't wait for his excuses on 24/7. If this continues I'd go for a compliance buyout ASAP
-
Patrick WaWa threw a ton of fits, but then again he was too immature to have real success, right? Rask probably throws the most fits right now, but he's also bad like Roy, right?

Pekka Rinne > King Henrik

All this means is that Callahan or Girardi will likely be on the market this summer. Hopefully NYR doesn't buy out Richards in an effort to keep both.
