I think the mispronunciation is purposeful, much like ron swanson, perfect video and hilarious lol. I think his bad grammar is more "step brotherish" (stupid) thou lol UR ALL NAZIS MAN!!! F'N NAZIS!!!...na but really i prolly shoulda used correct spelling on this particular thread lol
-
I think he does it on purpose so that all the players kno they r beneath him. Fran-sen, Filly-poola, Datsick, Hoodler.....prevents players from becoming pre-madonna superstars and lets em kno hes the big man in charge lol love babs

I agree with you that Datsyuk is the better player, but this suggestion/opinion/argument is stupidish? ignorantish? lol i honestly laughed when finishing your post. Anybody who thinks that Zetterberg has been invisible at all this year doesnt watch the wings or hockey for that matter. I am beyond comfortable paying Z 6mill. I would pay 8 mill + for him on the open market. You, I, and everyone else here knows he will score well above 48 pts this season, and so will datsyuk. So forget your on-pace garbage lol it means nothing. Forget Montreal, theres a Columbus/NYI forum screaming your name.

Burke definitely has got skills when it comes to building hockey teams. He knos what it takes to win and builds through trading and the draft. Problem is that's all he knows how to do.

My finalists right now are.... 1. Letang (winner) 2. Souray 3. Phaneuf Honorable mention: Lidstrom, Weber, Chara, Green, Pronger By the end of the season I hope it will look like this.... 1. Lidstrom (he needs just one more!!!!) 2. Letang 3. Weber Honorable mention: Souray, Chara, Doughty, Green, Yandle, Keith, Phaneuf, Pronger I'm really hoping Nick can get that last one to tie Bobby, but he's in for a fight. There are a plethora of great d-men this year, and many of them are maturing nicely into their prime. In all honesty I think Letang will take the Norris this year. I hate to say a pen will win anything, but I was very surprised he wasn't one of the finalists last year. The dude can do everything. Souray I think will give everyone a run for their money as well. Totally underrated. I don't think Green can win (weak in his own end), or Doughty (not being coached properly), or Yandle (too busy carrying the yotes), or Keith (completely overrated). I think Weber is overrated as well (the dude never plays with a bad defensive partner), but he is better than most and has some great leadership qualities. Phaneuf to me is like Weber's twin playwise, though he has shown he can play with weaker partners. I'd also like to see Pronger do well (another thing I hate to say). It's a shame such a prolific d-man has only won the Norris once. And of course Chara will do well. Anybody 6'9" and 260lbs will do well. would love to hear some opinions

Seems like it will come down to Lids, Chara, and Weber again as of now. Maybe Letang

I would roll those lines and not acquire Suter only if we saw a lot of progress out of Ericsson, Kindl, and Smith this season. If Smith can be a legit top 4 like everyone says he can be, and Kindl and Ericsson take the 5th and 6th spot, but play more like 4th to 5th spot d-men. Also, Commodore could regain some of his old play this year. You can't count out anyone who's 6'5" 230lb.

I don't like just throwing wads of money at the top guy out there or tossing money around at all for that matter. Of course I will be happy if we sign Parise but I don't want us in a bidding war for him and I don't want any overpaid players on this team. Good hockey teams don't just sign big names, they get the right players for the right price. I was happy when we signed Raffi, but I thought even he was a bit overpaid for. If we can get Parise for under 7 I will be thrilled. But I see a lot of other (bad) teams out their who are in the practice of throwing money around willy nilly. Probably willing to throw more than 7 for a prize like Parise. If we obtain Parise it should not be because of $7+. It should be because we obtain Suter first and then convince him to accept less and come here. With Suter, our rep, and our cup chances, if Parise is smart and not all about the money *cough* Wisniewski *cough* he'll come here. If not I'll be more than happy with Alfie or Doan. Adding more vets will just pad our time to develop and eventually bring up our prospects. The thing about the wings reloading and not rebuilding is that we reload from within. With players drafted and trained in Detroit.

WOW thanks for sharing this. +1 for Mark Howe. One of the most touching speeches I've seen in the HOF, hockey, or anywhere for that matter. I'm pretty sure there is a Russian/Soviet HOF. Probably for other countries as well. So don't hate on Mark Howe, he definitely deserves to be there. Plus, if you didn't play in the NHL then you didn't play in the toughest and most competitive league in the world. Scoring 10 pts a game in Finland, Czech, or anywhere else means nothing till you play with the big boys.

Parise will be so ridiculously sought after I don't consider him an option. Doan would be nice, but hes such a team guy, franchise face, and lifeblood of PHX that I see him finishing there. (thou if dallas can ditch modano, phx can ditch doan i guess) Alfie seems to be the most realistic option. cant see him wanting to stay in Ott and they need to continue moving forward with the rebuild. i can see them trading his rights to us for some drafts picks. they have other vets that can guide their young ones forward. plus im sure theyd love to give him a cup shot and they kno hed be at home here. Im gonna come out of left field and say we dont need to sign a D-man for next year. say lids retires, we replace him with kronner the heir to the throne, resign stewie, give big E and kindl and commodore and smith a bigger role. kenny already thinks smith is NHL ready so maybe by next season he can come out and produce. need a backup goalie other than mac too Edit: might have to run a 6 forward PP if we dont replace Lids. obviously the puck movement on the blue line will be lacking with both him and raffi gone.

You nailed it on the head for me, my prince in shining armor. There is nothing wrong with Datsyuk. I've seen plenty of fantastic dekes out of him this season. He's a 33 year old hockey player and he's HUMAN.... So stop dick slapping his face lol Edit: don't take things so personally dude. The point of my original post was that there is a "whats up with zetterberg?" and a "whats up with datsyuk?" thread going on right now, which is just typical LGW ridiculousness (bring on the negs baby!). So chill bro

All Lucic's fault. I'm sure he didn't mean to push the puck that far ahead, but by doing so he gave Miller the chance to get to it first, which he did. That's smart/aggressive goal-tending and I love it. Lucic did not have to hit Miller. It was not a "no other option" situation. That was just dumb on his part. I agree goalies get too much protection a lot of the time, but in this situation it's foolish to say Miller should have expected to be hit.

whats up with zetterberg? whats up with datsyuk? whats up with these threads? I'm eagerly awaiting the whats up with Lidstrom thread.........why isnt he skating 100mph? why doesnt he have 70 pts yet?

some people think BS smells like flowers...but at the end of the day it's still BS this isn't a ball, or the moon, or ROYGBIV...this is hockey, and if you want to pretend your not wrong, then we'll say your "opinion" is far-off, awful, stinky, not good, or simply BAD.

im thinkin its gonna come down to lidstrom, chara, letang
-
If I had a vote and voted today... 1. Chara 2. Letang 3. Souray Chara and Lidstrom are picking it up. Phaneuf is cooling off offensively it seems. Weber and Boyle are on the radar. Green is injured. Got my eye on Edler as well. Always really liked the kid. If he can learn to play sound D he would be really good.
-
brindamour, ivanans, cote, lapointe, seguin (<----kid is F-ing jacked!!!) who really knows though, its all speculation and probably always will be for current and past players. unless someone admits to it. All I know is I'd use performance enhancers if I was in the NHL.... whether I was datsyuk or drew miller just being honest

whole team needs to be shaken up right now. including D Lids - Stuart Kronner - White Ericsson - Kindl maybe move ericsson or kindl up and see what that does? or give smith or commie a shot. ppl need to feel the burn on their ass
-
Fill - Dats - Franzen (line needs that guy who will get the messy goals in, aka mule. plus mule and fill have great chemistry. i also really wanna see fill and dats playing together more as well) Homer - Z - Huds (i actually like the way homer looks out there right now. huds deserves another shot at the top 6 as well, he had some spark this season b4 our 5 game slump) Cleary - Helm - Tuzzi (im actually worried helm and cleary will make tuzzi work too hard and he'll rack up more penalties lol, but good line) Miller - Abby - Eaves (typical fourth line. nothing wrong with that)

Dominik Hasek thinking NHL Comeback?
number9 replied to Bring Back The Bruise Bros's topic in General
definition of a true professional/team player why did he ever retire in the first place? he was still so good. lids and him couldve both played for the wings till 47. i wouldnt have a problem with it. -
I think he was referring to Souray "not coming back down to earth" scoring wise. Not the Norris. If Souray can keep up the defense he's displaying now he could end up elite. He certainly has the size and strength a lot of players are not blessed with. We'll see if he keeps it up.

Your avoiding the fact that you incorrectly called Keith the 2nd best d-man in the league the year b4 he won the Norris. Attacking fantasy sports is a childish way of dealing with being wrong. But to answer your question simply, I'm pretty sure Lidstrom has never been outside the top 10. And only recently has he slipped from the top 5. I don't remember how many times he's been first. It doesn't really matter though, Keith was not close to 2nd in anything that year. Scoring, Trophies, Fantasy, ect. Your just wrong. Simple. Nope. Wrong again. He bashed Edmonton's management and accused them of a bunch of BS. And he demanded to be traded off the team. Edmonton told him he would never skate as an Oiler again, didn't invite him to camp, and tried to trade him. They couldn't trade him for a number of reasons, but mostly because he had a giant contract and no real potential trade partners could afford him. I don't think many were interested him anyway, seeing as he came off as locker room cancer at defcon 5. So they were forced to give him the ol waiver, cause there was no way he was lacin em up for Edmonton. It had absolutely nothing to do with his play.

Another joke? That was not at all because he was a lackluster d-man.
