i think the most likely will be tuzzi cutting out the dumb penalties. yes of all years this year prolly has the best chance for a big deadline move, but i dont think that is the option that will most likely happen. i think its the option that everybody wants to happen, naturally, but not the most likely. ken wont make a move for making a moves sake like many GM's do. he'll only make a big splash move if something comes along that fits into his master plan and is right for this team. thou i hope it does come along!

yeah i picked boston to win it all last year as well. i picked them b4 the trade deadline even! since when were they not considered a cup contender lol? everyone always picks the phillys and vancouvers

i knew this was gonna go in this direction. our stars dont get a lot of protection physically and that matters. abbys gritty but he doesnt step up when we need him too. tuzzi does but hes also not the bulldozer he once was. i mean dats had his first fight ever this year...that shouldnt happen. babcock sat dats for 10 min after that fight because he knos dats should never be fighting. thats why i actually liked the commodore signing. i like the idea of 6'5" 230lb presence looming over the rest of the team. hopefully it will make others think twice before going balls to the wall on us. im not sayiing we absolutely need enforcers on this team, but stars need some protection, thats why enforcers exist in the first place.

did u watch the 08 or 09 season? i kno the '08 team had chelios, drake, maltby, mccarty, and sammy. sammys not too tough, but plays more physical than a lot of the wings. the '09 team had all those players except for drake i believe. also wasnt downey on both those teams? so yeah the '08 and '09 teams had more grit and those teams were not plagued by injury. p.s. theres a lot more to the game then hitting buddy, even in the physical department.

i agree with u but u have to admit that those first 2 games were very close and sj seemed to get alot of luck while the wings got none. those first 2 games anyway.

i hate to make this a discussion about enforcers and toughness, but here it goes. i feel like the style we play is all skill. even our front of the net play is based on skill and not size or toughness. other teams kno that they simply cant beat us playing a skills game, so what do they do? they go out and hit, and hit, and hit, and try to out muscle us everywhere. other teams see the winged wheel on our jersey as a giant red bullseye, everyone wants to beat us. this is gonna result in injuries for us. thats why i think commodore was a good signing, bertuzzi was a good signing, and guys like abby need to play larger roles here in the future. intimidation and physical play is an important part of the game, especially in the playoffs. im not gonna argue that we need an enforcer, thou i wont argue against it either. we need to be able to play our skill style, but still make teams think twice about landing that big one on dats or z. frankly i miss the grind line

SJ and minny continued there shack up and added sheppard for a 3rd rounder. not sure how good that guy is, got injury problems.

I've payed attention to nashville alot because i love legwand, rinne (i thinks hes the best goalie out there right now), and the suter weber combination (its just down right sexy). the rest of the team is s***. weber is big and bad, has a cannon, and is right handed. everything the wings need on defense. suter is much smaller compared to weber, doesnt have the giant cannon weber has, is left handed, but is the better defenseman. much of webers play and stats can be attributed to suter. suter is smart and defensively sound. weber just brings that x-factor and its amplified when he plays with a great defense partner. when suters gone weber is half the player he normally is. look at how well he did playing in the all star game with lids! i would be very worried of weber coming to this team and not having lids to play with. i could see him playing with kronners thou....if we turn kronners into the next lidstrom.....hell never be able to fill lidstroms shoes but hopefully he can play that role and could be webers suter.

thou i would have loved it, i wasnt saying nabby was gonna come here lol if u read what i wrote i said something about other decent or half-way decent teams picking him up.....the islanders dont fall under those categories lol. also i never said nabby did or made the smartest choices. his statments show how hes back peddling and prolly regrets his decision in the long run. the isles ownership and management is a joke, snows far from exceptional, and players generally regard the franchise as washed up.

snow can make all the good moves in the world, but when it comes down to it anybody whos anybody doesnt wanna play for him or his team. he gives terrible contracts, has prolly stalled the development of most of his young talent, actually considers yashin for his team, ect. he should have stopped and thought for a second before he picked up nabby. hmmmm why would an elite, aging veteran, with no cups, who ran away to the KHL, and then stopped playing altogether, wanna sign for so cheap with the red wings so late in the season???? because he just loves being in the NHL so much? clearly no. For the big pay day? clearly no. For one last chance at a cup? yes. he should have known nabby wouldnt have reported lol i wouldnt have reported if i was in his position. did he think everything was gonna be hunky dory when one second hes gonna be going to the wings, the next second the islanders? lol. even if another team had grabbed him (one with playoff chances) i could see him reporting, but not to the isles. that organization is a joke, i wont blame long islanders if they never give that organization any help with arenas or anything ever. its certainly not all snows fault but hes part of the problem. he shoulda just let his prospect goalies play, the rest of his team is young anyway and they already suck so why not.
