yeah i think it makes a load of difference knowing that you have a 6'5, 230 lb guy, whos known pretty much only for his physicality behind you to back you up when u get into trouble. hopefully the whole team will play more balls to the wall.

someone who is meant to play 7th d, can hit like a mofo and drop em for the team...priceless. thank you kenny
-
conklin blowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwsssssssssssss. not worth bringing into this organization.
-
AGREED. we need a punishing forward. at least one. enforcer or not.
-
misspelled purposely agreed. speed on the back end matters these days though i think the level of grit will make up for it...hopefully

avery is known for his bad breath...he often distracts goalies with it...wiz was just tellin him to brush once in a while...good oral hygiene is a must for hockey players with few teeth!

One thing I always liked about Wisniewski is that he lives and dies for his team no matter where he is. the Seabrook hit is a good example. He took out one of his best friends for his team. He buys into systems, defends his teammates, and is an all around loyal guy, whether its the habs or the BJ's lol. His rights got traded to Columbus, they gave him an offer he couldn't refuse, and he hopped on the BJ's bandwagon and didn't look back, it's as simple as that. If Gionta looked at Nash the wrong way tomorrow Wizniewski would prolly lay him out. I respect that kind of team dedication. Its just to bad he'll be in Columbus...were gonna be tanglin with him alot prolly

I don't hate the guy and I certainly don't think I'll be booing him. He's hoped around between so many different teams that this season he was looking for a long fat contract. I thought it was well known he was looking for a big pay day this off season and was all about the money. Like somebody said, hes just pissed he couldn't take Kenny for a ride lol. Anyhow, he landed his big money at a central rival so he prolly thought hed talk some smack. I know for a fact he was very interested in the wings for a while. He just wanted too much and he wasn't gonna get here. Oh well. If he runs his mouth more, or hits dats bad or something ill change my tune, but other than that i say goodluck to him in Columbus....he'll need it lol

TRADE! TRADE! TRADE! E is worth 1.5 to 2, and in 5 years he'll still be worth 1.5 to 2. Holland is an alcoholic. At this point, keep Jiri and trade Kenny

just remember, a buffalo 7th rounder is pretty much worthless. a wings 7th rounder is like buffalos 2nd rounder lol. so i dont mind that kennys not throwing away detroit picks for rights.

Well of course they're going to let him walk. They have a number of capable defensman and he was brought in purely to fill in for injuries. I mean the guy did great there but he was only there for half a season. Yeah he makes some bonehead plays, mostly in the defensive zone, but he makes up for it with his big hits and offensive capability, especially on the pp. And good defense can be taught. Wisniewski very much has the potential to become a rafalski with a mean streak if he comes here. Obviously im a wiz supporter but i do NOT support the overpaying of anyone. I just don't believe there is anyone who is a better fit for this team at this point. Wisniewski vs. what we need right handed shot: check offensive production: check frequent fighter: check strong defensive presence:_____ (can be filled by salei's replacment?) Do i need to mention the obvious? that hes a hometown boy and was mentored by lapointe? I've not heard anything about pitkanen re-signing, but the only way id want him anyway is if he came with jokinen. Pitkanen does not shoot left, does not fight, and plays no better than wisniewski defensively.

hes moved around alot yes, but if youve read any of the wiz threads from the past month its clear that he often landed in the wrong place at the wrong time and was often not traded because he was a "whipping boy". ive heard the exact opposite about montreal fans. ive heard many MTL fans saying theyd rather have markov walk and keep wisniewski. NYI and MTL fans were pretty thrilled with his performance this past year. im sorry but ive been following wisniewski since he was a 16 yr old in plymouth-canton michigan, and i have never heard him be described as a whipping boy. perhaps when he was with the hawks or ducks because he was so green, but i dont think so. even they were thrilled with his level of intensity and the caliber of his hits and fights. this year he finally started living up to his offensive potential and i think it would be un-wise to pass on him.

1. that is a good comparison 2. your original statement is perfectly valid. it does not matter if someone is religious or ***, and im sure everyone here agrees with you on that. ppl are simply trying to point out how boisterous he is about it. so if you wanna discuss that with everyone go ahead, no one really cares what religion it is or if hes *** or whatever.
-
I heard Markov's already been re-signed
-
with the cap going up so much, could MTL afford to re-sign this kid?
-
lol still the oldest team in the league.
-
you cant say that fersure. if holland does indeed bring in more vets, we'll be in the same position as this/last season.... damn jagr.
-
we have the highest average age in the nhl.
-
^ we do need to get that cup while we still got the talent. i feel like our teams so old now, were going to have to rebuild at some point. seems inevitable. dead wings scares me...alot
-
Weber/Suter isnt comparable. thats probablly the best pair in the league. Stuart/Kronwall is a sick pair thou. I don't see how wizzy can possibly play poorly here if he gets paired on the second line with Lidstrom. thats a perfect fit for an up and coming Michigan boy. I mean the kid grew up watching the best defensemen in the world win championships on his hometown team, playing with lids as his partner for detroit must be a dream come true for him. Itd be for me if i was in his position.

No

trade hudler and bring in jagr to replace him. just dont overpay him. something like $0 would be good for a guy like him.
-
I think he just has a big personality....not to mention I think he likes to talk s*** and sees himself as a bit of a protector of his teammates. maybe hes chelly #2? maybe he'll add some spark to the team so we can get this cup run lit. as for wizwear, no comment
