Not sure if Joe Colborne is what we need right now. We got plenty of youngens
-
Wouldve won with Kronwall in the lineup
-
The past 6 years are in the past. Let it go.
-
He lost 3 of his top 4 d-men over the course of a year. I think he deserves some props for keeping us competive through that.
-
I hope u r the wrongest person ever

What if we got a new 91 in town? Vladimir Tarasenko
number9 replied to RedWingFan13's topic in General
What if we got Johnny Gaudreau??? Hell lets trade for McDavid while we're at it! Oh yeah, forgot, none of these things will ever happen. -
Too bad Mantha sucks
-
Holland acquires two, TWO, deadline signings... LGW still finds a way to hate him for it. For reals though, too bad about Cole. Franzen would be nice too, Oh and Kronwall...
-
Anyways, Hollands had some bad signings, but I don't think he thought guys like Sammy or Legwand were going to right the ship. He was plugging holes until he can finish bailing himself out with prospects.

About zero?

Holland deserves blame? Revolutionary

Tampa Bay Head Coach Jon Cooper Accuses Red Wings Of Cheating
number9 replied to WingsAlways's topic in General
The fact that the Red Wings get away with this is a testament to the prowess of Babcock as a coach. He knows the refs won't call 'subtle' interference, so he teaches his team to do it and do it well, giving his team the advantage. Either change the rule or start enforcing it more strictly, till then it's perfectly fair what we're doing. Sorry you didn't think of it first. Boo hoo -
http://www.redwingscentral.com/2014/01/20/4345/janmark-emerging-as-very-dangerous-scorer/ 21 years old, 6'1" 191 lbs Took him with our second 3rd rounder, #79 overall, last year. He's already quickly climbing up the prospect rankings. Red Wings Central has him listed as our #16 prospect now (Just below Nastasiuk and Athanasiou, and just above our first pick from 2012 Frk) Apparently he's tearing Sweden up offensively. Can shoot, pass, great vision, always wants the puck, high intensity, never stops moving his feet. Only knock is he apparently needs to work on his defensive game, his faceoffs, and his physical strength (though he's already over 190 lbs). Those first 4 picks from last year are starting to look like genius by Holland and co. Mantha, Nastasiuk, Bertuzzi, and Janmark are all suddenly tearing it up this year. I'm particularly enjoying this because of the people around here who said that, after Mantha, we had horrible picks. In Holland we trust, in LGW we rant.

ECQF Game 5 GDT : Red Wings 4, at Lightning 0 (DET leads series, 3-2)
number9 replied to Hockeytown0001's topic in General
Well I'm thoroughly confused at this point. I was told we were going to get swept in the first round. -
When owls say who, the proper response is Brian Mcgrattan
-
Yes, that's exactly what Lesnar would be
-
My favorite picture of Brian. Can you imagine the look on Lesnar's face when he steps into the ring?
-
He's some wash up playing in the minors I believe. Not worth mentioning really.

Ekblad, Gaudreau, Stone voted Calder Trophy finalists
number9 replied to PredsFanTheBayouState's topic in General
Ekblad, He's pretty much been a top Dman since the moment he joined the league -
Callahan seems to be a special kid. Can't see the Red Wings waiving him again or ditching him.
-
I think these highlighted quotes speak for themselves. Your argument is beyond laughable, as always.
-
He's only played 15 NHL games, if I was him I'd want another look
-
WHY ARENT THEY ALL GORDIE HOWES???
-
Your 180 on Chiarelli is remarkable
-
Hyman sounds like he has a high potential for being a bust. A 3year entry level deal may be too much to risk on him if it costs a possibly better player a roster spot. That being said I think his first choice is clearly the Wings, unless he's a true blue Leafs homer. Shafting the kats in order to go play with your buddy Larkin in GR makes sense to me.
