There's a reason he was listed as a LW when we drafted him. There's a reason he's still listed as a LW everywhere. Because he's a natural LW. And played that for the majority of his early career. Now he plays mostly center because he's our best forward outside of Datsyuk. He's a converted center, much like Ericsson is a converted defensemen. I thought it was pretty common knowledge that Zetterberg was a natural LW, guess I was wrong.

He's played center everywhere he's been. And he could play RW if we needed him too as well. He's that good. None of that changes the fact that he's always been a natural LW. So does every reputable website

Yeah, I understand that Football is probably the most popular sport in Detroit, but that's the same for almost every American city. What other American city would deserve the title of hockeytown over Detroit? Boston? That's an old school baseball town. Minny? Maybe for college or the state in general... they couldn't even keep the North Stars going. Detroit is a six-pack and power swim away from Canada, an original six team, and Michigan rivals Minnesota as a hockey state. I think hockeytown is warranted.

Holland placed a bet on Sammy and lost. There was no indication prior that he was going to be as poor as he was with us. Holland's not perfect. But I'll certainly take his few bad contracts over the ridiculous ones other GMs sign.
