Dang, I didn't know he died. RIP Paul Coffey

Mouslon, Gionta, Meszaros, and Benoit disagree
-
Nyquist has been lazy and floaty lately, no wait that's Franzen

Andersson gets a bad rap because he's the worst forward on the team (not counting cleary). That doesn't mean he's a bad player. He's got solid defensive smarts despite being ineffective offensively and physically. He'd be semi-decent on a lesser team Yes, he's expendable, like Lashoff, Huskins, Gustavsson, etc. But that doesn't mean he isn't useful.

AGREED. We are in the rare circumstance of having scouts and managers that don't need a single influx of highly drafted talent to revitalize the team. It's not glamorous, but it works great for us. And at the end of the day, that's what I see true pro-tankers as. Individuals who want solely to salivate over highly publicized prospects.

GO GREEN. Hope Larkin never amounts to anything, and Glendening gets traded.

All my Sabres friends talk about nothing but McDavid. They are honestly irate that Lindback has rediscovered his form since coming to Buffalo. They would rather see their once highly touted goalie fail miserably than become a valuable asset to the team. And that goes with all their young ones stepping up and playing well right now. Yet they still will only have a 20% chance a McDavid if they finish last. And therein lies the conundrum with tanking. Wishing your players to suck in order to get the greener players on the other side of the hill. Then when they get said player they wonder why they still aren't winning and their other 22 players suck. It's madness. For everyone who points to PIT, CHI, and tanking as the answer, I point to Detroit, Montreal, Tampa, NYR, Boston, Columbus, Edmonton, STL, Nashville, Minny, LA, SJ. For some of those smart rebuilding has worked, and the others tanking has failed. CHI and PIT are the exception, not the rule.

Shoulda tanked

True. College football and basketball atmospheres are ten times better than the pros as well. But, my hockey bias aside, I think college hockey is truly special when it comes to atmosphere of the game. The small arenas make the chants and games intense. College goalies have it roughhhhhhhh during away games though lol

Me stupid That's not his choice

I know everything about that! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qjklfGi6aC0 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rPfYOBOpxGM He may have been flying, though I cannot confirm that.

Not true. I've seen him skate before. Would you like me to provide links?

I gotta say, atmosphere-wise College games are unbeatable. I've been to games at Munn and Yost, and they're GREAT. But recently I was introduced to Lynah rink by some friends who are former Cornell grads. HOLY SHAT is that good hockey. If any of you are ever in upstate NY (I don't know why you ever would be) hit up a Cornell hockey game. Their rink/fanbase is incredible

With our depth at forward I won't be mad if Cole isn't re-signed, but I won't be sad if he parts either

Preds don't postpone game, but get fan experience right

I don't think their defense is that bad. In fact I think Price has inflated numbers due to being a better goalie than Howard and having stellar D. -
Oh, so we're all just A-holes trying to argue about nothing huh? "Barking on about the comments"??? Barking? What is this? Some slight against dog people? Please show me one shred of evidence about how cats are superior to dogs? Oh wait, you can't. There isn't any. Your move cat boy.

Capgeek is gone so I feel lost, but bare with me. I know Nyquist and Smith are RFA this offseason (their are probably others as well, please remind me). Anyone else considering qualifying Smith and letting another team submit an offer sheet on him? The dudes 26 now and just really hasn't showed promise outside of playing with Lidstrom his freshmen year. Letting him go might give us more money to re-sign other assets and add FA's as well Next years D without Smitty: Kronwall - Ericsson Quincey - DK Kindl - Zidlicky (pending a possible re-sign) Ouellet/Marchenko Sproul/Jensen

I miss the days when Z was considered a sniper. In the 2008/2009 playoffs he was a shooting machine. I see Nyquist walking that same path now. Hopefully his post shooting days are as productive as Z's

I share habs fans fears when it comes to Jimmy and Petr. Although if Mraz turns out as good as Price, that would be a positive surprise. -

I don't know about Santorelli, but Franson basically isn't playing. Preds coach is clearly not a fan of his play. Shows how much we know, I wanted Franson at the deadline. -
I think the point was simply: no, Datsyuk doesn't feed Tatar his goals. Tatar is very capable of generating his own offense with or without Dats. Not sure why u take issue with that, it's true. That being said they should stay on a line together, it works good.

Mrazek had one good start??? Kill Howard. Praise Petr.
-
He's 4th on the team in points...

He already was awarded free mickey D's for life. No joke.
