People always seem to forget that we drafted almost entirely forwards/centers in the last draft. Wouldn't be surprised by a high D draft this year.

Pretty much everyone on LGW was zeroed in on Mantha during that draft. When we actually landed him, half this board looked like geniuses, especially after we traded down. A lot of the same with Larkin. A lot of people around here wanted (and got) the Michigan boy. Your selections are hardly unique

Given the caps position they probably want players that can help them now, not picks and prospects. We'd probably have to part ways with a roster player to get him (and then some depending on the player). Wasn't he also drafted by NSH? They have an eye for good blueliners -

Franson would be an amazing addition. Much better than Green in his own end. Hits a decent amount and blocks a good number of shots too. -

As can I, He's a great player. Most likely a HOFer. Not sure why he escapes the lazy argument and Franzen doesn't. Both do their jobs well for their price tags.

I already conceded the point.. And as I already stated you can't compare a backup goalie worth a few mil, risk wise, to a an often injured regular D-man worth 3 times that. Fair?
