Dune being one of the original 26 of course
-
Again, I'll have to apologize to you. Even if he is the next great wing, already ready, at the mere age of 21, he's not going to be on the starting roster. Have you been absent the last 10 years? Jurco isn't starting here in Detroit, and that's just me regurgitating wings rhetoric, not an opinion. PWF or not, he's in GR. That has nothing to do with it. Early career sucsuess has nothing to do with it either, in GR. If you wanna make a bet that he'll be on our opening day roster, I'd gladly take it.

Ugh, the movie/mini-series or whatever it is, is so terrible. I love the book, can't even sit through 5 minutes of the movie. EDIT: Rather watch Star Wars fersure

Sorry, and girls. Though I feel like Dune has a lot more strong female roles... just sayin...

Star Wars is just a rip off of Dune anyway Cue angry Star Wars fan boys...

So Callahan Ferraro and Glendening don't get a chance? I'm unsure about Ferraro, but I really like Glendening, and I've LOVED Callahan thus far. You don't even want to give them 10 games to see what they've got? Jurco will be #1 call up, it's not like he's not going to play. It's not the easy way out, it's the logical way to handle a business. Jurco scored 15 pts in his first stint, I liked him a lot, but he's far from the next coming. Tatar has been playing for this organization since 09. Nyquist since 2010. Jurco started in GR in 2012. He has more time to do. He is not more special than Tatar or Nyquist. If Ferraro, Callahan, Andersson, and Glendening are all bums this year, by all means call him up. But's probably going to come when injuries hit. Sorry.

Jurco just won't be on the starting roster. He just won't. He looked good, but he's played less than half of an NHL season and is the only forward with minor league options. Holland will be starting him in GR. 2 of Andersson, Ferraro, Callahan, Cleary and Glendening won't be on the starting roster either, and will have to clear waivers unlike Jurco. If both Jurco and Cleary made the starting roster for some reason, we could potentially lose Ferraro, Callahan, and Glendening for nothing. It's silly to think Jurco is anything more than the #1 call up right now. He's going to have to do his time in GR just like Tatar and Nyquist did. It's a philosophy thing, but also very much a business/practicality thing.

perfect for Vegas

Which I'm seriously doubting considering all our forwards, the 23 man limit, and him being the only that doesn't pass through waivers.

Signed Holland signs 4 year extension with wings **MOD Warning Post 130**

Except we aren't going to pick #1 or #2 unless we trade everyone of importance, which won't happen, making this an extreme tanking fantasy... -
The Tuscon Raiders?
-
My only problem with that is that it probably means Abby is playing in the top 6
-
You might beat them your first season, but they'll be back, and in greater numbers.
-
Now that's a name I've not heard in a long time
-
Build it, and they will come
-
The Black Aces?
-
We would need to change our name to the Detroit tire kickers

71 is a Russian number. 17 is better.

Whalers moved Nordiques moved Jets moved Northstars moved Canes do ok Avs do great Coyotes suck, New Jets return Stars do ok, Wild reignite Minnesota Only real failure is the yotes. But they have nothing in common with vegas. Vegas is sandy and dry and hot and Glendale is like Michigan.

While we're talking about old players I thought I'd share what I saw on reddit today that I had not previously known. Draper scored goals in the AHL and NHL BEFORE scoring a goal in the CHL. Strange and interesting.

yup yup yup. Nyquist NEEDS to continue to play with Zberg. For chemistrys sakes, and Nyquist's future. Jurco should be playing in GR or on the third line during injuries. I won't be able to find it, but there was a stat a few years back showing that Pav and Z actually score more when they're apart. Don't know if that's still the case, but I like Zberg as 2nd line center, especially if Weiss continues riding the struggle bus. Franzen - Datsyuk - Alfredsson Nyquist - Zetterberg - Tatar Sheahan - Weiss - Jurco/Abdelkader Miller - Helm - Cleary - Andersson - Glendening - Ferraro - Callahan I know a lot of people like Sheahan at C, but he's a natural LW Or Zetterberg - Datsyuk - Nyquist Franzen - Weiss - Alfredsson Sheahan - Helm - Tatar/Jurco Miller - Glendening - Abdelkader - Cleary - Andersson - Ferraro - Callahan
