    I drink scotch and whiskey because sometimes I get so mad at something so small that I HAVE to.

    I drink beer because its tasted good to me for the last five years.

    Which should be The preamble to alcoholic constitution, but no one that drunk give enough f***s.

    If I recall correctly, didn't McCarty say in his biography that he wasn't an alcoholic anymore because he gave up liquor (meanwhile he was still killing racks of beer but didn't consider beer alcohol) lol I remember chuckling at that

    Haha. Well I'm drinking less these days so I try to find other things to do while I'm waiting. But yeah, a few years ago I'd have already been at the bar for a couple hours lol.

    My recovery time isn't what it used to be, and I've been drinking less, so I'll be there sooner rather than later.

    Rivalry night is just whatever they happened to buy the rights to.

    Nbc can suck it.

    Being a man means drinking because you have to, not because you want to. Didn't realize you boys were buncha sissy quiters.

    On a brutally honest note...I feel we need a guy who knows a few things about his end of the ice...Again - from what I've seen - it seems as though there's alot of odd man rushes...Seems as though some of our guys are getting caught outta position.

    TOOL on tour?

    Hoping they'll add more dates.

    I wish we had a shut down type that was, ya know, actually physical and punishing. I don't dislike Quincey, but he's a poor excuse for grit on the back end if that's his role.

    They're only touring the south, it's BS.

    I'm gonna go out on a limb here.

    Maybe the Wings need to acquire more defensive minded guy (maybe the Wings miss Quincey more that what we think).

    WRONG the wings need a RH puck moving D man who can also shut down other teams top lines and clear the crease, while playing top 6 minutes and going to the dirty areas.

    Side note: Not sure if you saw but Tool is touring again. Might have to finally make a trip down to Nashville myself. Always thought that trip would be for a preds game, oh well I guess.

    How long of a career did Fischer have? Then he really didn't make it did he....... There was a what 10 12 year gap between the Nick's? A long time. But the rest: Ramsey, rouse, Fetisov, Chelios, Schneider, Rafalski, Hatcher, samuelsson, etc... were all brought into the organization. we traded away the young Dmen that we had: Pushor, ward, Bubble butt, etc... Which makes sense. If you are competing for the cup you can't have rookie mistakes on the BL. if a F screws up in the offensive zone you have time and space to recover. Not in front of your own G. That kills teams.

    It seems a lot of people have already written off Sproul, though I'm still a huge fan, and if he can develop his defensive game a little more, he can definitely be a top four in the NHL. I have only seen a handful of Griffins games so far this season but in every one I've seen Sproul has stood out in a good way, along with Ouellet and Jensen. I still rank all three of these guys ahead of Marchenko in regards to overall potential. Sproul leads all defensemen and is second on the team in points, with 6 (1 goal, 5 assists) in 11 games. Not bad for a team that has been struggling as bad as the Griffins so far this season...

    I agree number9. Richards is killing that team...

    Sproul is 2nd on the team in pts with 6 but he's also -6 in those 11 games. That's alarming.

    Tomas Jurco has this amazing talent of not being visible on the ice despite being a good sized 22 year old who should be able to run to the moon and squat pyramids.

    I don't know why maybe he's injured maybe he's bad or maybe he's just bored.

    We need to get a grip on this guy. Hopefully some games in GR shows what's up with this individual.

    Hopefully it's just a nagging injury or something, I don't think he's bored...

    Purely speculating, but I think he lacks confidence. I can't understand why at this point we haven't seen him whip out some mad dangles. Clearly he has the ability, but he doesn't even try it.

    Ya but it looks like we'll be fighting for a playoff spot this year. Rather play the guy that gives you the best chance to win and not based on future contracts.

    It hasn't even been 20 games yet, it's way to early to tell where we'll finish. Tampa is outside of the playoffs looking in right now. Do you expect them to finish the season on the outside looking in? Me either.

    I agree that I want to get the most points possible so play the better man, but is there really that much of a difference between Mrazek and Howard? If Howard is worse it's only slightly... it's not like we're talking about playing some average backup like Monster here. I would be fine riding Howard for the majority during the regular season, then unleashing Mraz in the playoffs again.
