All 1 goal games, two in OT. I still have hope until the bitter end. Sharks' luck will not last forever - in game 1 we kill off a double minor in OT and what's-his-ugly-face gets a crazy deflection goal, in game 3 a blind pass to Dan Boyle who shoots it into Howard's glove barely gets by and ties it up in the third, flubbed shot by Setoguchi on that one timer fools Howard, crazy bounce in front of the net lands right on Setoguchi's stick, etc. I know we get bounces too (Eaves' goal), but if they happened for us and not for them, this series is not 3-0. Got that hope, baby.

I do not believe there is a magic combination that is going to make us any better. We change lines up so much there is never any chemistry developed, and let's face it, sharks look like the better team. Obviously that doesn't mean we can't win, but no line combination is going to replace our need for offensive intensity, size, and strength. We are going to win by getting fortunate bounces, getting calls our way, and Howard playing out of his mind, as he has been.

Even if we somehow come away with this one, is anyone really going to be happy about this win? Could easily be getting blown out AGAIN, except howard is playing crazy well.

Wings performance against the jets gave me false hopes, even though I don't think we were as good as everyone claimed we were. But now the sharks are exposing us for what we really are...

Only way we are going to win is out of pure puck luck now.. this is not looking good. Sharks have too many chances.

San Jose played like they typically do against us while we sat back and we still took them to OT. What gives me hope is remembering LA score a s***load against them - if our 2nd and 3rd line guys at least show up, there's no reason why we can't beat the sharks.

You guys are weird or just trolling. We got outworked the majority of the game and still made it to OT. Killed off a 4 minute penalty without giving them any chances and then lost on a fluke goal immediately after. It's one game and I don't think anyone thought we were going to sweep. All I hear is "wahh wahh it didn't go my way!" Not gonna win them all - I thought we would have figured that out by now.

Well, we didn't really deserve to win that game, even if that was a lucky goal. Howard played outstanding and I can't remember anything our forward lines did except for the first line.

Unfortunate for Lucic. Spacek is facing the boards, turns to dump the puck then turns back to face the boards again just before Lucic hit him. Definitely a hit from behind, but you can't really blame Lucic based on that replay.

That would be nice, wouldn't it? I guess I'm not as upset about the 3rd period calls on us because they were all correct calls to make - we've seen a lot worse called against us (hooking on Lidstrom in game 1 that led to a 5 on 3). It's interesting to note that the coyotes' board was blowing up about the calls in the first period which led to a couple PP goals for the wings. I thought the calls the refs made in the first were correct, and coyotes' fans use the ref excuse as the reason why we were able to take the lead. Same thing happens on the wings' board in the third period. Refs make correct calls that lead to a couple of phoenix goals and we're back to conspiracy theories.

Just finished watching the 3rd period and I have to say, I couldn't disagree with the majority more about the 5 on 3. Franzen clearly cross-checked the phoenix player and Helm interfered with Hanzal. Don't tell me this board wouldn't be blowing up if that happened to us and the refs didn't call the coyotes on it. The refs weren't perfect as always, but those were two easy calls to make. Blinders, people, it's not hard to take them off.
