  1. LGW.com member JayUp88 has been kind enough to offer up a pair of tickets to this Sunday's game against the Atlanta Thrashers at Joe Louis Arena! All you need to do to enter the contest -- the winner will be determined Friday night -- is answer the following trivia question: __________________ Name three players that have played at least one regular season game for the Detroit and Atlanta NHL franchises: 1. 2. 3. __________________ The first 23 people to answer the trivia question correctly will be given two numbers (handed out in order, i.e., the first correct submitted entry would get numbers 1 & 24, the 2nd would get 2 & 25, etc.) to be used toward Friday's Mega Millions drawing. The Mega Ball will be used to determine the winner (the Mega Ball will be a number 1-46). You can submit your entry by PMing me here on the forum (click my username to send a private message) or by e-mailing me at mattschwartz@gmail.com Do NOT submit your answers in this thread as you will be immediately disqualified. Entries will be limited to one per member, but *may* be increased depending on submitted entries as we're working on a tight deadline before the game this weekend.

Of all the entries received only 4 were actually incorrect (2 instances of Hossa, 2 of Williams)

No Veyron? Or even a 599 Fiorano? So disappointed... (Looks like that's a 2006 GT.)

    9/28 Ticket Contest: Congrats, Barrie!

This contest is officially CLOSED! After sifting through all of the entries we could've easily had spots for all 46 individual slots, but 23 were originally allotted so we'll stick with that. Also, since there is a MegaMillions drawing TONIGHT (an hour from now), and ALL of the spots are filled we'll go ahead and use tonight's drawing instead. That way the winner can get their ticket arrangements sorted out with a full three additional days to plan ahead. Here is the list of eligible entries: 1, 24: Elshupacabra 2, 25: DatsyukRules 3, 26: mtuhockey7 4, 27: Barrie 5, 28: Thomaslupojr 6, 29: pavyaz19 7, 30: Z and D for the C 8, 31: HockeyCrazy3033 9, 32: Bluedevils_13 10, 33: #19forPresident! 11, 34: kugz 12, 35: Welt 13, 36: edicius 14, 37: irishtemper14+25 15, 38: Booster313 16, 39: Joe_Louis 17, 40: Penky26 18, 41: Majsheppard 19, 42: massivepads 20, 43: redwinger4747 21, 44: Textbook 22, 45: PunkChildP 23, 46: OsGod Just so everyone knows, no one has received a response to their PMs or e-mail messages just due to the sheer volume and timeframe I wanted to get these out. The contest entries were fully allotted just after 2:00pm ET today, so any entries received after that time were after #23 was handed out to a correct entry. Once the winner is determined with tonight's drawing, I'll forward along a contact e-mail address to JayUp88 so that arrangements can be made for the winner to receive his/her tickets. Good luck!!

    9/28 Ticket Contest: Congrats, Barrie!

I've corrected the date (damn me and my rush to post this up last night)... The way it's looking right now I think we've got all of the spots filled... I'm going through a massive collection of PMs in my Inbox right now (and via e-mail)... if I can get these sorted out before 11pm tonight we may just go with tonight's drawing so as to give the winner more of a window to get his/her tickets in hand prior to Sunday.... I'll be posting again soon...
  10. Registration for the 2nd Annual LetsGoWings.com Fantasy Hockey Buy-In Challenge is now open! This is a 12-team, head-to-head league hosted by Yahoo. Scoring and draft information is below: Cost: $25/team Draft: Saturday, September 27th @ 9:00pm ET Starting Positions: 2 Center, 2 LW, 2 RW, 4 D, 1 Util, 2 G (6 Bench, 1 IR) Scoring Categories: G, A, PTS, +/-, PIM, PPP, SHP, GWG, W, GAA, SV%, SHO ___________________________________________________________________________ Invitations have been sent out to GMs from last season's league, but there currently a few spots open to new GMs this year! If you're interested in joining the league this year, registration is now on a first-come, first-serve basis, and you must contact me via PM here or e-mail at mattschwartz@gmail.com BEFORE sending in your payment so you don't pre-pay for a spot that doesn't exist. If you inquire within the 12-GM limit, I'll temporarily hold that spot for you for a day so you can post your registration fee. After that the spot is opened back up until all 12 GM spots are filled. Payments must be made in order to reserve your spot. Spots are not held without paying the $25 entry fee, which can be done via PayPal. Please do not make any payments without prior authorization by myself, as I don't want to over-fill the spots. Attendance at the LIVE DRAFT is highly recommended but not required. Remember, this is a buy-in league, so it's in your wallet's best interest to take part in everything. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask!

  12. Looks like the original draft order randomizer is broken for this year, but I found another (which operates the exact same way) on FFToolbox.com. 16. Registration for the 9th Annual LetsGoWings.com Fantasy Hockey League is now open! This is a 12-team, head-to-head league hosted by Yahoo. Scoring and draft information is below: Cost: Free! Draft: Friday, September 26th @ 9:00pm ET Starting Positions: 2 Center, 2 LW, 2 RW, 4 D, 1 Util, 2 G (6 Bench, 1 IR) Scoring Categories: G, A, PTS, +/-, PIM, PPP, SHP, GWG, W, GAA, SV%, SHO ___________________________________________________________________________ As usual, invitations have been sent out to GMs from last season's league. After that time -- or whenever I'm informed that a GM won't be returning this season -- I'll open up the remaining spots on a first-come, first-serve basis, though Boosters will get first dibs on spots if interested. In order to keep this league as competitive as it's been through the years, I ask that if you're interested in returning or joining for the first time that you're committed to maintaining your team throughout the season and can make the league's live draft. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask!

    LGW.com Fantasy Hockey BUY-IN Challenge!

There are still spots available everyone!
  19. A request came in that I start a thread in which members that have spotted the Stanley Cup can post about its whereabouts this summer. So if you see the Stanley Cup while it's traveling the world this summer post about it here! I'd like to keep outside comments to a minimum (read: none ) just so we can keep a clean log of where the Cup has been, etc. Thanks and keep your eyes open!
  20. Registration is now open to everyone! There are several spots still available as of the time of this posting, so PM me here or drop me an e-mail ( mattschwartz@gmail.com ) and if there's a spot available I'll notify you. Act fast!!
  21. Deadline for returnees to notify me is tomorrow. They can still join in at any point after that, but only until tomorrow will their spots be held.
  22. There was one open spot so far, which Booster313 has taken. As soon as I get the next confirmed non-returnee (or the response deadline passes) you're in, IceMunkee.
