^ THIS. I'm not one for the referee's swallowing their whistles, but if you're going to waive off a goal you had better be damn sure there's an infraction there. Just what Babcock said in Game 4 of the WCF -- don't make things up. It's ridiculous and I'm sure the Wings' front office is going apes*** right now.

Osgood was outstanding in that first period. Absolutely phenomenal.

All things considered it was a good period for Detroit -- just the fact that it's 0-0 after spending half the period shorthanded one some chincy calls and one GOAL. It's amazing the bulls*** that's been going on for Holmstrom. Absolutely amazing. I did like Babcock's "So, tell me what you ******* saw" when he motioned the referee over. *waits for referee response* *Babcock laughs*

I know that there are a good number of members here that have been around prior to the 2002 Cup run, but the immense traffic -- and a poor host -- back during that playoff run meant the site was repeatedly crippled due to immense traffic. It broke the database several times and the forum had to be re-installed -- complete with everyone having to re-register. However, since then the traffic has been much higher and outside of a few hiccups here and there everything's been running smoothly.

Which isn't a problem at all -- it's FANTASTIC -- but only if it's the original artist is the one that submits it. Unfortunately that wasn't the case with a good number of them.

Yeah, I'm chomping at the bit to get a basement with room for a dedicated home theater/man-cave area. Right now the whole setup resides in the "family room" of the house, so it gets a ton of traffic. Not to mention it's right by the kid's rooms... I'm hoping that putting a whole floor between the rooms in the next house will allow me to actually blast it... it's been so, so muted since I had the kids.

57" Sony with 7.1 surround. TV is getting a bit "long in the tooth" (5 years old now) and I'm looking to getting a nice, big new one to mount up on the wall once we move (whenever that is). Once you go HD you go never go back. I don't know how I watched hockey without it.

So far through the first three rounds the Penguins haven't played the Red Wings, have they? You know, only the best puck-possession team in the NHL. If you're happy with the likelihood that the Penguins will be chasing down the puck around 60% of the time for the first 15-40 seconds following faceoffs, so be it. I don't mind the wasted energy.

FWIW, I don't have any problems with what Malone said -- that's hockey. Now saying it and being able to do it out there are completely different. Kronwall picks his spots very, very well. -

Still the regular season mindset? I wouldn't mind "big George" finding himself in the penalty box for after-the-whistle foolishness, so go right ahead. As long as it's a clean hit then the Penguins player that gets plastered should've kept his head up. Any "retribution" at this stage of the post-season is asking for trouble. ------ Anyone want to place any bets on who Kronwall pastes in Game 1? My pick is Dupuis.
