One spot left!

3 Spots left! Some pending registrations! You can still squeeze in if you enter now!
-
Until I say the league is full, there's a few spots still open. There are still a few spots unaccounted for, guys! Hurry and register!
-
I have a couple of registrations to process overnight, so hurry and register!
-
We need this league to fill early this week! I have lowered the registration fee to $25/team! (Current GMs that have paid the $35 original entry cost will be refunded in full the $10 difference.) Hurry and register!

Now *those* are the Lions I know and love. Truthfully, I didn't expect them to win this game, but giving up 42 1st-half points is just a *tad* bit extreme. Hope Calvin is okay and I don't think the Lions are as bad a team as they looked today. That Philly team was desperate for a W and it showed on the field.

Same here. Add him to the list with Toews and my seasons starting off just great. (Thank god Toews is my 4th-rated center right now and I've got Visnovsky and Bouwmeester still on the blueline.) Get well soon, Dan. (Please!)

Six spots still available!
-
As noted in the original post, the draft is scheduled for Friday, September 28th at 8pm ET. The regular season kicks off at noon on Saturday (Kings/Ducks in London) so that is the latest the draft can be conducted. Still spots available everyone! I'll post here when it is filled up, so until then, feel free to enter!

None of the FA options look appealing, especially Glenn, who's season I think may be in jeopardy (knee surgery, but I haven't seen the latest update on it.)
-
O'Sullivan sucks. I wanted to punch him through the TV screen virtually the entire time he was in on Sunday. Or at least slap him alongside the head. Kitna is the difference between respectability and a Top 3 pick in the draft next year.

Oh, bulls***. Not this one -- there's no way to defend it. Don't blindly lump all Wolverine fans into one group. I was genuinely curious, and there's not a doubt in my mind that ND would've been routed by App. State. Does that somehow make me feel better about Michigans loss to them? Ha! I think we can safely assume Detroit Country Day would beat Notre Dame at this point. Nope, sorry. I don't care for people that make a circus out of their signing day by flying into a school and riding in a Hummer limo. Mallett showed up prissy-boy Clausen during the HS All-Star game and I don't expect anything less during their collegiate careers. -

Is it just me or does he come off as some prissy trust fund prick that if he didn't have shoulder pads on he'd have a sweater tied around his scrawny neck? He just screams "I'm a little *****" when you look at him. Nice to see Mallett make some nice throws out there, even if he needs to get his accuracy refined. That howitzer of an arm will be lethal once it's accurate. That long bomb to Manningham in the first half that was overthrown...... it didn't even look like it took any effort for him to blast that out there. Who else wonders what App. State would've done to Notre Dame? -
Which would be true if the team didn't turn around and sign a better defenseman later that day. Oh wait, they did. This team won't be hurting on defense this year -- it's getting consistent scoring that will be the issue.

*groan* -2 points for you. $1.2-million. I don't think it would be a problem for someone with the university to cover that bill. I'm a regular reader of mgoblog.com (it's a great read) and in a post today he said that a "solid source" said Miles would jump at the chance if Michigan offered him the job. I'd be happy with Miles or Ferentz. -
The draft order for Saturday's live draft is as follows: 1 - The Underdogs 2 - AOthehero 3 - Jose\'s Rink Rats 4 - Royal Oak Rampage 5 - Ice Munkee\'s 6 - x266797 7 - Default Team #? 8 - Never Forget Mac #25 9 - Once We Were Winners 10 - Shaved Ice 11 - Chase 12 - The Money Beets This is a snake-format draft, so No. 12 also gets the 13th pick, etc. LGWFHL GMs should have gotten an e-mail from ProFantasySports.com once their script was used to determine the draft order.

Worst. Defense. Evar. -
The result would've been the same in the NHL -- the Canadian kids thought he purposefully tripped Sutter at the other end (and I agree) and it wasn't like Cherepanov's concussion was bad enough that he was laying on the ice convulsing. He hopped right up.
-
It sure looked like Cherepanov purposefully dragged/stretched his leg out to intentionally trip Sutter. He had it coming to him after that.
