I think it's great that we have so many Smith lovers out there. When he does get called up, I hope to hell he plays flawlessly because I hate to see the love quickly transform to hate.

To read this forum you'd think everyone hates this team. A majority of the team is mentioned at one time or another as "sucks". Maybe they should trade them all and quit selling pizza! Sheesh, it's one game.

The only change I would like to see is better clearing in front of our net. Watch other teams when a wing is in front of their net and the wing ends up on the ice or knocked out of the way. In front of our net, the wings seem to be content to try to clear the puck or tie up sticks. The opposing player rarely gets cleared out. This does not require an "enforcer", just some physical play. Don Cherry is a comedian. What did he win in the NHL that makes him an expert?

Wings are americas team, no doubt about it. All you have to do is compare the fans in opposing rinks. There is a lot more red in those crowds. Hard to argue with the Lets go Red Wings chant heard at away games...

Ericsson isn't the sole reason. White had full control of the puck behind the net but couldn't find an outlet. He spun several times before giving up the puck to the Ducks pressure.
