If the Wings can help it, I'm sure they'd rather have Cleary-Abdelkader-Bertuzzi check that line. EDIT: Filppula and Franzen may be good enough to check either one of those guys but Hudler? I shudder at the idea.

Because the Wings have had so much time off, I feel like this game sparks a similar feeling to the beginning of the regular season, only that much greater because it's playoff time. Just like the beginning of this year's regular season, I feel pretty excited for this round. I sense that the Wings are rested and really itching to get after the Sharks. -
It's best not to listen to those predictions whether they favor your team or not. Hockey can be a pretty hard sport to predict.

Nashville is rusty. Trotz implied as such during a short mid-game interview that their compete level is pretty bad right now.

On that PP I wish that the Preds would just give it to Weber and get out of his way but the Nucks are doing a great job taking away his space to wind up and shoot.

Not really. The Nucks are seriously 2 or 3 steps ahead of the Preds right now.

I didn't see any signs of weardown on Vancouver at all. They got some quality shots and chances. Rinne has been solid though. Nashville hasn't had much time with the puck, imo.

He's played well so far. The Preds haven't had any sustained pressure whatsoever and the Nucks are dominating the faceoff circle. Nucks also dominating puck possession in general.

You can definitely argue that the Sharks have better offense but I don't think it's by a landslide.
