We got the 3rd period coming up. This is the time where winners and champions take it to another level and smack their opponents in the mouth. I'm hoping we'll see that kind of 3rd period from the Wings as we've seen before. -

Well... Yeah. Shut up. Haha, I mean, come on, that intent to blow the whistle call or whatever bs reason he gave was pretty bad. And it was in a playoff game for goodness sake. His late reaction on that Stuart slash still looked pretty bad though. -

Niiice. Draper and Helm are quite opposite when it comes to demeanor. Helm is one of the quietest, soft spoken players on the team while Draper can't shut up to save his life, haha. It's kind of like that on the ice. Draper was quite the yapper and agitator. I don't think I've ever seen Helm yap at anyone.

Getting two slightly fortuitous goals early really helps that though. (Only slightly because they did good things that led to both goals). Especially if you're the Red Wings and you have some experience on how to play with a lead in the playoffs. -

I had no idea Joe Beninati "got fired" by Versus or whoever owns what. I was wondering why I hadn't heard him on a Versus game in a while. They apparently wanted to bring in more well known TV people or whatever. Enter Darren Pang, Ken Daniels and a few others I can't remember. Even though he is the announcer for the Red Wings, Ken Daniels is not someone I consider to be "more well known" or whatever the new system is there in Versus/NBC/Comcast/Whoever. -

Fairly possible, to be honest. The V might not look so tightly packed but all of a sudden the Ducks get a 3 on 2, you have Perry crashing the net and backing off the defenders (the tip of the V), Getzlaf with the puck on one wing and Selanne shoots from the other wing to score while both defensemen are on their respective sides. Sounds like a V to me.

In 21:05 TOI he had 0 points, 2 shots on goal, 3 hits, 1 takeaway and lost 2 faceoffs. I know you don't care but I just can't help but wonder who's guarding him? That stat line seems pretty ideal from a Wings defensive perspective. -
I think we should ask Ed Jovanovski about this.
