That would make it 8 or 9 games in a row where the opponent of the Wings would be the recipient of a 5 on 3. -
What the hell happened to "lower body injury"? I know it's frustrating when we don't know when injured players will be back but their injuries should still be kept a secret to everyone outside the Wings organization.

I feel the same way. They respond when the team really needs them to. Filppula can be like that as well at times. It's frustrating because you'd think, "Wow if they're playing this well now, they'll be even more awesome when Z gets back" but I don't think we've ever seen that kind of awesome.

Would Pavel Datsyuk have played as well as he has if Z were in the lineup?

Have a bunch rain down on the bastard. One smacks him right in the face. He tries to dodge the rest but then he slips on one and lands face first on top of another. if that's not the ultimate motivation to win the cup I don't know what is.

The Wings have gotten a 5 on 3 against in now 7 straight playoff games or something like that. I'd be surprised if they DIDN'T have to kill off a 5 on 3 tomorrow. But there's still hope in that they can kill it off. -

But yeah one of officials in this Rangers/Caps game got injured and so they had to call up the official on standby. Each team basically got a free couple of timeouts. Christensen scores. 1-0 Rangers. -
