Dude electrified the Jo and his teammates much in the way Helm does. His fighting I can take or leave but his hitting and energy are undeniable. Its been said on the forums before...opponents were aware wen 22 was on the ice. That in itself is something other than Helm, nobody can offer from our current 4th line. Again, i wish we had a Dmac but not too many of those around....and sure I would have loved Tootoo to jump on the ice and beat the hell out of Shaw and Bickel but I dont feel the Wings staff want that. I still rather kill off 4 chArging/roughing penalties than 4 weak ass Cleary/Smith/Abby lazy interference ones. 22 can create havoc for his limited minutes IF the Wings will let him!

Im not sure the RW org wants or cares if we have a player sticking up for teammates. Tootoo was obviously neutered in a lot of games and imo that came from coaching or Toots simply saw the writing on the wall....you can play like ur ballz are on fire but better not get a penalty cuz youll sit. Im not sure Tootoo can fully display and play his game here which is sad because its effective. Has to suck to want to win an help your team and do everything we signed him for but then he sits. Im confident he will have a coulple dozen pts next season but unfortunatey we have seen even when guys produce, it doesnt earn them a spot or minutes...TAtar.

Toots brings an element no other 4th liner for Wings posseses....just wish the dude was a penalty killer as well. And spot on post 55fan!!!

When Toots puts up 30-35pts next year no way they can sit him during playoffs UNlESS he confirms their fears and takes bait and gets some after whistle retalitory penalties. I would have loved to see more 22 on ice during playoffs.

I dont care if he is your franchise player....any gm or boss worth his salt is not going to say.... "Whatever Pasha wants Pasha gets". Thats bad bizness as well as stupid. Redwings have a system that works and the players know that coming here....its a privelage to play in NHL and the Wings put no player over the team. Theres a reason we have been the model for 25 years and its not cuz we chase around our stars throwing blank checks at them. And if pasha wants 4 years 40 million...Pasha can go play in Toronto or Russia.

Our little skill dudes are going to get pounded like Gus did on last play of the season. And those hits will take their toll... Their training needs to address this over the summer.

The Wings are going to be a perineal power in the East!! Im not arguing one league is tougher than the other...But our new rivals arent known for the speed and finess games. My opinion is that the Wings grit toughness and willingness to drop gloves will be tested early and often. This has nothing to do with hits... Hell the Wings ability to light people up is whats going to lead them to stand and throw hands...or not.

I think we will flourish in the east... But some wings are going to take some beatings!

I never said that the Wings would get bruised....I said the East will be salivating at the the CHANCE to dominate and bruise The greatest org in Hockey! I would if I were an East team!

The East aint going to be looking to hit and beat up our grinders.... They are going to hit the hell out of our scores and play makers which worries me in regards to longevity and injuries. Every game will seem like a playoff style game and honestly I dont think Bickell is an asset. he wouldnt hurt to have but not a head turner for me. We need some more nails and mass because the East will be looking to welcome the mighty mighty Wings to the east by christening the ice with their blood.

Hawks and Pens are 2 best teams in hockey and have been all year...we will see how that pans out for both in a few weeks. Wings woke the Hawks up. Hawks crusied thru reg season and playoffs... Remind ya of any Wings teams. Lets not forget, Hawks had a goal taken away in game 3 which really prolonged the series imo. Hawks and Pens are head and shoulders above rest of league this year but they have to earn cup. I hate both those teams AND we will Hear all the talk of Dynasty blah blah if either Wins cup Hawks had their one tuff series now will cruise into Finals over the Kings.

nhl and nba has turned into soccer with all the flopping. Refs need to get on top of it...call the flops and this s*** ends immediately. only reason players flop is the same reason dogs lick their balls....because they can.
