When was the last time a Wings player played for the team his first year straight out of the draft? I don't really keep things like this at the top of my but maybe someone does.

Yeah, most of the Wings draft picks don't play until they have spent a few years in the AHL, which is good for development and all and making players NHL ready but that doesn't help us now. Wisniewski would help fill the gap that Raffi left and for how much I don't know but here is hoping he would take something like 4.25 to 4.75 to come to a solid team like the Wings. Guess it depends on the kind of person he is, what matters more to him. A chance to win Cups or Money?

I wouldn't mind giving the Habs a second rounder. We lose a pick but we gain a guy who can play now instead of a guy who might be able to play five years down the road or just fizzle out in the AHL. Hudler and a 2nd for Wisniewski would make me very happy.

Just saw the Seto for Burns trade, guess Burns is going to become tainted on the Sharks roster and we will lose all respect for him next year. Hopefully the Wings do something soon and pick up Wiz or another top tier defenseman.

Guess Steve Yzerman bringing Tampa to being one win away from the Cup Finals after the Lightning miss the playoffs for four straight years means nothing.

Don't really know if it is fair to call Bryz out on his playoff performances. He played on a bad team against the Wings so the good news for him is that he won't have to face the Wings in playoff hockey until the Cup Finals next year if Philly makes it.

Eh, I think it would be better to try and sign Joey for half a million again and use the money where it is really needed on defense and a either a top six forward or another depth forward or two.
