    Changes in the offseason

I would assume the Caps would want to keep their best defenseman and second best forward and I doubt they would give him away for an average player, two below average players and a 1st. And comparing the George McPhee to one of the below average GM's in Burke and a fired one in Sutter is silly. If you had sad something like Cleary or Franzen, Kronwall and a 1st then I could see that making more sense. And yes the Eaves/Miller for Ovechkin may have been immature but I was trying to make a point that it wouldn't be fair in the slightest for the Capitals.

Yeah, your right. That would be much a much better deal.

    Changes in the offseason

Let's see, Hudler and Fil combined for 26 goals, 76 points and a -8 while Semin had 28 goals, 54 points and +22 and he had an off year(for him). Then you talk about Green, Kindl and a 1st? So we give up a young guy who points up 4 points and get one of the best young offensive defeseman in the NHL despite having a bad year as well.. And while your at it how about we throw in Miller and Eaves to get Ovechkin too. Now the only player I would miss would be Fil but that trade is so lopsided it is crazy in my opinion.

SCF: Boston Bruins vs. Vancouver Canucks

What? Do they win every game like 9-0 and Vancouver throws in the towel? Or after three games does the NHL decide to just give the Cup to Boston for too much diving by the Canucks?

    Tampa Bay vs. Boston

Yeah, he stood on his head and his team decided to forget how to play hockey after about a two minute burst of energy after the Boston goal. Thought I was watching a live game of NHL 11 with the two Tampa players falling for no reason.

SCF: Boston Bruins vs. Vancouver Canucks

Boston in four wins. Don't know how many games but I think Boston gets four wins.

    Tampa Bay vs. Boston

Can someone explain to me why the f*** Tampa kept trying to slap/dump it into Boston's defensive zone? Did they think they had a lead or something? Really stupid, but congrats to Boston and a really nice play on their goal. Guess I am rooting for Boston now.

    Changes in the offseason

Yeah, I like Jokinen as well and think he could do well, some people on these forums might say he is soft but I honestly don't see the Wings becoming a "tough" team anytime soon and think he could add more offense to an already good offensive team. With Laich, I don't see the problem paying him between two and a half to three million for a third line center who could add another fifteen or more goals and forty or more points. I don't see the problem keeping Joey, he played very well for the Wings and I think all he needs to do is just gives Jimmy some rest every now and then. I would have said Nabokov before but after Jimmy's playoff performance I don't think we need someone like Nabokov unless he signs for about the same as Joey would. And with Wisniewski, maybe he would come cheap to play in his home state.

I would take Gagne in a heartbeat if it was 2005-2007, lol.

    Changes in the offseason

I don't really think Gagne would be available. 40+ point player when healthy and has 12 points in the playoffs, so I see him being locked up by Yzerman whether Tampa makes the cup finals or not but I could be wrong.

Yeah, simple rule. Don't open your mouth without thinking. Clowe didn't think and got smashed. Love it.

Worst Alternate Jerseys in Hockey History

How is the that baby blue mess of the Penguins not on this list. That jersey makes me cringe every time I see.

    Changes in the offseason

If Vancouver doesn't re-sign Bieksa, that would be about as stupid as Chicago not keeping Niemi or Byfuglien but if they don't for some reason and the Wings get him that would be great.

    Tampa Bay vs. Boston

If Boston limits penalties, I think they can pull if off but if they have five or more penalties I think the Bolts will go to the Finals.

    Changes in the offseason

If you look at the bottom it says that there is four million left in cap space which you could add to his salary. I just like seeing what the Wings COULD do with their cap even though I know it is only thoughts and likely won't happen.

  19. Lol, the Sharks can't comeback. They are only good at barely holding on to leads or choking them away.
  20. Wow, what a pass by Henrik. Just go home Niemi, don't even bother showing up for game five.
  21. Good job San Jose. Love the way your playing, keep it up all the way to elimination.

    Changes in the offseason

Like I said, I know it is not going to happen. Just seeing what type of players the Wings could pick up but I know they most likely won't.

    2011 MLB Season Thread

God I wish the Tigers weren't so mediocre. Its like I checked the standings a week ago or something and the Tigers were on five game winning streak then I look today and they are on a five game losing streak. Really sucks to only have one good team in Detroit with the Wings. But at least the Lions might be promising this year.

Then you add in Janssen in an enforcer role(or try Rupp from Pittsburgh) and finally add in Wisniewski to pair with Kronwall and put Nick and Raffi on the second line. But, it really doesn't matter because I don't expect Holland to do too much.

And I thought the Sharks choked bad. Boston blew this game big time.
